send his ass down and bring up Humber who's the opposite of Pelfrey ... has good secondary pitches but not a good fastball.

Pedro Martinez
Tom Glavine
El Duque
John Maine
Oliver Perez

and our BP will have Gullmero Mota and maybe Duaner Sanchez

That definitely looks better. The Mets really are loaded.

Thats better. However, I don't think we can really count on Pedro this season, look to next season for him to get back to where he needs to be. This year when he comes back, he'll probably have control and velocity problems.

And Sosa looks like Guillermo Mota of last season. (the juiced up version)

That would work to, because I am tired of watching him pitch.

naw man I'm confident ... Pedro is already throwing(earlier than expected) and said he hasn't felt this strong since 1998. Of cours he won't pitch that good since he has a 98 mph meatball then but I see him having a strong 3.00 era when he comes back by late July.

He is no where near ready for the big time, I really want to see Milledge. However Chavez will probably be starting now, Im also fine with that as well.

I thought we were going to pull this one out, Feliciano did a great job in the seventh inning. We just pulled a dud in the eight inning.

I was also impressed with Gywn Jr today, he really looked nice.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

No reply from Wrighteous on this?

Estrada is a #2 hitter or maybe 7th in most lineups. He hits for average but he has no power whatsoever. You need someone with power and the ability to drive in runs at the 5 hole.

I think that Yost isn't going to change much while the team is producing big time offensive numbers.
Ideally I'd like to see this line up.
Gwynn Jr. (Future all star I think)
Weeks
Hardy
Fielder
Hall
Jenkins
Estrada
Mench/Hart/Gross
Pitcher Spot.

He likely won't bat 5th all year. I agree with you that he's not an ideal 5th hole man, but the weird thing about him is that he has hit much better W/RISP in his career. Over his entire career, his OPS W/RISP is .807; with none on its .684.

Regardless, I'd much prefer to have the Jenk/Mench platoon moved up, or Estrada moved to #8 when Braun comes up.

No, I think the Last time the Brewers had a winning record was 1916, which would make it 81 years. They make the Cubs look like the Yankees. :D

(I'm kidding, I'm actually happy for Milwaukee - I'd rather see them win than St. Louis).
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

:noway:

I'm willing to bet he doesn't come back until at least August. Once he comes back, I also doubt he goes into the rotation. What I see happening is, him mainly pitching in relief when he gets back to see just where he's at. Whenever a pitcher has rotator cuff surgery there are always setbacks along the way. You don't want to run the risk of him trying to do too much to soon because he feels the pressure to get back as quickly as possible.

And when you say "throwing," that means he's really only playing catch from a short distance to get his range of motion back. He's still a long ways away from actually getting on a mound and airing it out. Then once he does that, he still needs to go down to the minors and pitch in a bunch of games before getting called up here.

That's hard to believe seeing as the Brewers were an expansion team in 1969.

ahhhhhhhhhhh, that game sucked. 6 mets fans got tossed out for arguing. probably all 6 of em were drunk.

Our pitching sucked and our offense was stagnant other then that 5th inning.

And I ask my fellow Mets fans to not be so hard on the Brewers fans and instead, take out your disappointment in todays loss by rooting extra hard for the Yankees to get bombed tonight. Remember now, a Yankees loss is a win for the Mets!

Really? How? Do you make up games in the standings or did I miss something?

I think this is todays starting lineup. Heard Ed Coleman on WFAN announce it, not sure if it's Green or Endy in the OF.

Reyes
Easley
Beltran
Wright
Franco
Castro
Chavez
Gomez
Perez
