Damn. I was hoping Tauscher would get back. Our depth at tackle isn't great.

But anyway, welcome back Spencer!

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I grew up around tauscher and played agaist him in sports so I've always rooted for him but watching him the last couple games he played was painful. Dude looked real bad. Packers were lucky to have some depth going into the year at ol. I'm not super confident if we lose another T but really what team is when they get to their 4th guy at T.

Harver should be a nice addition to spiecial teams.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I bet Havner gets 3 TDs over the rest of the season.

I predicted Tauscher on the IR a week or more ago but thot his spot would be filled by Harris.
No reason Tausch couldn't have been put on IR Monday.
Not knocking TT but obviously he's using these injuries to clear out some older guys.

I don't buy that in this instance. Ted brought Tauscher back and if he was healthy and playing well, he'd still be our starting RT. The problem though was not only did Mark get hurt, he was looking like he was on his last legs even before injuring his shoulder.

As for Harris, we'll find out over the rest of the reason whether he can still play well. I'm not going to be watching Miami games to find out, but the media will follow the story and let us know.

Thank god TT drafted Bulaga. We would have some serious RT troubles if he wasn't around.

well not only that, but the kid at worst looks like a 10 year starter at RT. Count me in as one of the few that doesn't care about position when it comes to the first round. I'll take anybody (guard, OLB, Safety, what have you) so long as they look like they can be an above average starter for 8+ years at their position.

Exactly, I hope they give him a try at LT but it's good to know that you can plug him in at RT long term if it doesn't work out.

So you think they'd IR him if they thought he could help this year?

No doubt, the concern was Bulaga might only be a guard (which wouldn't have bothered me, although I would've preferred Iupati (sp?) if that were the case. But damn! I love this draft, Laga, Neal, and Burnett look like very solid starters minimum, and that's not even considering the beast that is Sammy Shields.

Also, I've got the feeling Teddy is ready for another Woodson like move, and it a top tier LT becomes available, he'll drop bank.

I'm okay with our depth at tackle. Nobody in the league has backup tackles that are really any good. I think Lang can handle himself, especially on the right side, and I have some real optimism about Newhouse's long term prospects as well.

I haven't seen any reason to think Bulaga can't be the LT in the future. He's only playing RT now because it makes the most sense. Besides, a lot of LT play RT their rookie year.

Yep, depending how much Clifton has left(he has been a stud the last few weeks) I could see him taking over as early as next year but I have no reason to think he can't do it. He has looked good at LT when they have put him there even in limited attempts.
