The Bears are not gonna lay down for the Packers or rest anyone.

We got to play Vick in the wild card game. I rather play any team in the NFC than Vick. I don't even care what team Vick is on I don't want to play him. I rather play the Falcons. Nothing like playing the most dangerous team in the first game.

Yeah, cause Vick sure looked awesome today against a "great" Viking defense!

I forgot how 1 bad game erases a whole players season and career. Thats why Vick, and Brady are the two leading for MVP. Look what Vick has done when he played against the Packers. If you don't think Vick is scary than you are crazy!

My point is I feel like we can beat any team but the last team I want to face is Vick. Just so scary. You can play great defense, or get a nice rush that would have every QB in the NFL scaked for a 10 yard loss but with Vick that sack turns into a 40 yard run.

I guess I feel this has been a season from hell and playing Vick in the playoffs can't lead to anything good.

Think about it,our two most gut wrenching playoff losses were when Vick ran all over us in 2002 and 4th & 26 @Philly in 2003.

We get both of those rolled into one in 2 weeks.

Ugh

I don't think Vick running all over us was as bad as the 2007 NFC Championship game. Also, the 4th and 26 game was only the Divisional Round. We still would've had to go to Carolina and then beat New England in the Super Bowl.

The Vick ATL game isn't even on my top 3 for worst playoff losses I've had to endure.

After tonight, I don't see how Philly should scare us.

Facing Vick in the first round is scary but flip things around and think how scared the Eagles defense must be in facing Rodgers. Excepting the Lions game where he was knocked out and had the fluke Jennings tipped interception, Rodgers has 15 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions in his last 5 games. :o

Meanwhile, the Eagles defense has recently give up 26 to the Bears, 27 to the Cowboys, 31 to the Giants and 24 to a Vikings team playing their rookie 3rd string 6th round pick QB.

Vick has has a surprisingly good season but we are the team with the truly dangerous QB. Ask Antrel Rolle how scary Rodgers is.

I know we all love to rip on Cutler but he has had a solid season and has been playing very well the last few games: 11 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions his last 5 games. 4 games with a QB rating over 100 with the only stinker being the Patriots snow game.

Vick could have had 4 interceptions tonight to go along with his 2 lost fumbles if the Vikings just catch the ball. The last few weeks teams are showing you can pressure him into turning the ball over.

Defensively, there is no comparison. We should be able to lit up the Eagles whereas the Bears have an excellent defense that held us to 17 points even when we had Finley.

Don't get me wrong - I wanted the Bears too. Perhaps I'm rationalizing things but the Eagles appear to have been very overrated by many. I don't fear them.

To be fair they only gave up 17. Vick fumbled which was returned for a TD.

Still, the Vikings got pretty much whatever they wanted in the 2nd half and Vick has looked pretty average in 11 of the last 12 quarters he's played.

Philly scares me because, like the Bears, they'll be completely outplayed and still find a way to win on one or two huge plays. Conversely, the Packers possess the unique ability to outplay opponents and still find ways to lose on one or two huge plays. That said, I agree that Vick has not been very good lately and I have a ridiculous amount of faith in Capers' ability to put together a game plan against anyone.

I brought this up earlier in the year that the Eagles owe Clay a big thanks because i really question if they make the playoffs with Kolb at QB most or all of the year.

Same for Vick. If/when he strikes it rich in the offseason, he should send Clay a nice present.

Yea, for as scary as it would be to face an offense run by Vick in the playoffs where the potential is always there for him to have a monster game, i'd much rather our offense have to face the Eagles defense than the Bears defense.

There is also one other factor. While no question that DeSean Jackson is a very dangerous punt returner, Hester has been better and the Bears use him on kick returns also, but the Eagles don't use Jackson on kick returns.

Bottom line for me is first just get into the playoffs. I no longer am in the Bears are just lucky camp, they are a quality team and if the Eagles loss tonight makes Lovie rest starters on Sunday, thus making it more likely we win that game, i'll take it. The way the Eagles have played of late, i'm no longer as terrified to face them and simply getting into the playoffs is by far priority number one for me right now over who we'd face once there.
