Oh come on now. I've lived in both Milwaukee and Green Bay (current) and it's not all that much different. Neither are all that action packed, but yes GB is on a smaller scale.

For HKPackerFan -
I agree with MD about watching the game somewhere other than the stadium. There are multiple sports bars all around Lambeau that will be having parties, and they're all within walking distance from each other. Stadium View, The Bar, Anduzzies are the main options, and the atmosphere on game days is fantastic at any of them.
As for hotels, I would suggest Comfort Suites: http://www.comfortsuitesgb.com/
It's nice, reasonably priced, and there's a nice restaurant attached to it.
Taxi services are available, but yes, you have to call in advance to have one come get you. If you're at a bar, just let a bartender know you want one and they'll call for you.

Super bowl week should be awesome out here. I'm hoping they do the ice sculptures and things like they did last time. Can't wait!

Come on, there is tons to do in Green Bay besides visiting Lambeau . You can go shopping at Shopko, drink at a bar, go to the casino, and ummmm well yea.

Hall of Fame kills a good hour or so.
Go Bucks!

Packer Hall of Fame is incredible. I spent at least 2 hours there the first time I went. It will probably be fairly crowded Super Bowl weekend, I went on a Friday afternoon during the offseason and there were very few people there. At the end, when you enter the room with all the plaques and the 3 (soon to be 4) Lombardi trophies, it's very moving. :)
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That makes sense. No one wants to be working during the game.

I am planning a trip to Green Bay from 5th to 8th Feb. I will fly all the way from Hong Kong to the title town to witness this Super Bowl event.

1) Will Lambeau Field open for viewing the game? Will the ticket be hard to buy?
2) Any fair motel you can recommend?
3) Any good Packer bar you can recommend?
4) Is it easy to find a taxi in Green Bay?

Thank you for your help in advance. See you there in Green Bay.

Cheese!!!!

Im from GB.

1. Lambeau wont be open to watch game. Curlys Pub is in Lambeau and might be open but I am guessing not considering it closed for nfc champ game.

2. Hotel Sierra is the nicest hotel in GB but is downtown. Hilton Garden, Cambria suites or best western are decent ones by Lambeau.

3. Stadium view, the bar, anduzzi are all by lambeau. Champions is hidden but good packer bar. Tom dick harrys was good but recently closed up.

4. Yellow cab or packerland taxi are all around but you usually have to call.
