Probably Matt Millen stuttering for a few minutes and Tim Hasselbeck being bald.

With Schlereth, Hoge, and Dilfer being hyperbolic and mostly clueless.

The rumors of Asomugha the Packers are actually picking up steam in NFL circles. From my understanding Woodson and Asomugha have been talking for a while with Woodson talking up Green Bay. Asomugha likes the way the Packers play defense but more importantly wants to win and the Packers are in a position to do so for a long time. The interest in Asomugha goes against Thompson's normal mentality when it comes to free agency, but Asomugha is a different type player that is still in his prime and a player that has the high character and qualities Thompson looks for. I don't anticipate Thompson getting into a bidding war for Asomugha, but he may not have to. I have been told by a few sources that All Pro corner wants to come to Green Bay and would be willing to take less money to do so.

LOL at "NFL circles."

What about NFL triangles? Squares? Rectangles?

This line of thinking makes too much sense, so lots of people will ignore it. But, I agree with this...

Like pretty much everyone has been saying... If he wants to be a Packer, he is going to have to take about half the money he gets anywhere else.

Unfortunately, I think this article is exactly right. We would be forced to let somebody else walk if we signed Asomugha.

And I am not a fan of doing that. I would rather have Finley, Jordy, and Sitton instead of just say Jordy and Nnamdi. I think Shields evolves into a very good #2 guy and Tramon is a lock down guy for the next 5-7 years.

If he'd be willing to sign for Woodson type money, you could front load the deal and be fine.

I was also thinking about this. Depending on where the cap is set after (we hope) the CBA is done, we can front load him and Jenkins.

I also wanted to point out that we are going to have to extend guys like Finley, sitton, I guess jordy, etc, but we'll also have grant, driver, Clifton, tauscher, wells, pickett, chillar, Barnett, all coming off the books or easily cut-able. Not to mention, we'll most likely re-sign those pending FA's long before they hit the market at reasonable deals. Props to Ted for that, his greatest strength, IMO as a GM

Ted's greatest strength is being alive.

He is pretty much the best human being ever. We should give him control of the Bucks and Brewers as well.
