This is my feeling on the pick as well.

This is a really good point, never thought of that.

He'll be practicing like the no. 1 LT even if he isn't. :D

I'd prefer he play at RT his first year if he really is the guy going forward at LT, but practicing that much everyday would also be good. He'd probably have to play at some point anyway since I think it is likely he'd be the main backup at both LT and RT if he wasn't starting. He'd probably start if the LG guard went down as well since we'd likely slide Bulaga to LG in that scenario.

Really want an OLB and WR tonight, obviously BPA, just hoping its those positions.

A versatile TB could also be big. MM used to do all kinds of **** with Deuce in terms of motioning him out or just lining him up as a WR. If teams had to deal with yet another wrinkle along with all the other things we send at them formation wise it could be even more of a nightmare to prepare for us.

I've wanted a guy like that since we hired MM since I was always impressed with what he did with McCallister in NO. The funny thing to me is that his offense there was very much based around the skills of Deuce with Horn being the other main threat. Their TEs didn't do a lot. Here, we now have him building much of the offense around a TE (at least at the beginning of last year) with our RBs being quite limited in their skill sets.

If we got a talented receiving type HB, we could put out our base set but still spread things out and have Kuhn as the lone TB. Think about how many different formations we could throw at teams with a RB that can actually run some routes. That is almost more important to me than finding another WR.

DC's brains would be exploding if we added a legitimate receiving threat at RB. Think if we had a Westbrook type back there to go along with Finley at TE and Jennings at WR. What kind of defense do you call against that? How do you match up?

I don't know this draft enough to know who may fit what I'm talking about, but it would be fantastic to find that type of back in rounds 2-3. If we had a HB that could catch 60 balls a year, those WR positions after Jennings become less important and our offense becomes harder to cover.

I could be wrong but wasn't starks considered a good receiver coming out of college?
Receiving: Well-practiced receiver who physically looks the part. Used on swing passes, circle routes and in the slot from motion. Snatches the ball with his hands, adjusting to low and high throws. Will hold the ball loosely when trying to make a move in the open field. Some elusiveness after the catch, but is better running north-south than east-west. May be tried as a kickoff returner at the next level.

Entering his senior campaign, the Niagara Falls native has an opportunity to post some big time numbers, coming off a year in which he accumulated 1,333 rushing yards, caught 52 passes for 361 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns.

He was late to the party last year but don't be surprised if he starts going in motion this year.

Worked late last night. Didnt get to see the draft. Loved this pick at 32. Protect your franchise aka Rodgers. If we have the new clifton and taush for the next decade, I'm more than extatic.

Obviously I liked Sherrod. Great pick IMO. However, he is a finesse/mirror guy exclusively. He is not a dominating (or good) run blocker. Watch his tape, he gets to the second level with ease but has no idea what to do when he gets there. He doesn't finish out blocks aggressively. But... he gets in the way of, and stays in the way of, blind side pass rushers. He is exactly what you need out of your LT, and I think he'll be the best pure LT in this draft.

Since Sherrod would hopefully be replacing Clifton and some have compared the two, i saw this elsewhere about scouts views of Clifton after we picked him and thought it was interesting.

"He's a third/fourth-rounder. He's alright." "The guy works out really well. He doesn't play particularly strong and he's not particularly tough. He doesn't play like he works out." "He's got a lot to show me he can play. Lacks ability." "He's an athlete who doesn't play to his numbers. He's big. He's tough." "He's alright. He's not terrible."
