So I'm guessing Brady should hand back his MVP from that 16-0 season given that he was aided by a great supporting cast if he gets this one.

#Packers TE A. Quarless hasn't had reconstructive knee surgery yet after being hurt Sun. Inj. believed so severe his '12 season in jeopardy.

:o

That's awful. Could've been avoided if they correctly called the fair catch too.

That isn't surprising. His knee was destroyed.

Another writer that decides to make the award "most important to the team" and somehow thinks that Rodgers isn't as important. Is he supposed to be punished for having a better supporting cast?

He says that the Packers would be better off without ARodg than the Patriots without Brady. Basically all he is saying is that the Packers have a better backup QB than the Pats and that the NFC North is slowly turning to dogsh*t as the season wears on. Not a good argument.

Brady should definitely be given consideration for a great season and if the voting is on a 1st-2nd-3rd type format I would have no trouble with writers putting him #2 even though I think that spot would go to Drew Brees over Brady.

So he tries being smart and telling people what the definition is by the word, but he is still wrong. It isn't who is "most important to the team." It's MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. It doesn't matter who the back-up is if you are trying to figure out who has the most value.

I'm sick of the semantics with this award. Just rename it the Most Outstanding Player award, because that's what it actually is.
