Just a note on the challenges:

The first one was a bad decision. He thought "I'm calling a TO anyhow, I might as well hope they give us the benefit of the doubt". The second one clearly should have been overturned. It hit the ground and it moved after doing so. Its about as clear as can be. After the second challenge there were

The Sproles fumble was ruled down by contact. So unless there was a clear recovery immediately following the play it doesn't matter if McCarthy had another challenge or not. The NFL doesn't want people playing through the whistle so anything that happens after the whistle is void.

I really thought the last few calls that went against NO were presented with a little extra excitement by Triplette. Like he was quite pleased GB was getting a few breaks.

Not to mention you're at a disadvantage on the road if you want to challenge something. Close play, we'll wait a little bit to put the replay up, in the meantime the offense is rushing to the line of scrimmage to try to get a play off so you can't challenge the call.

That last 1st down especially. He was happy that he wouldn't have to be killed in the press all week.

That's a ref should be able to not blow the whistle, let the play play out, then rule down by contact and the the replay be able to decide both ways.
