Unlike many Packer fans, i feel a little bit bad for Elliot. I understand he signed up for the job, but he was put in a position by the NFL where he was simply in over his head and to his bad luck, he happened to be the ref in a situation as that Packers/Seahawks game was. Now he'll be remembered in infamy as that call will be showed on various shows for a long long time.

I certainly feel for all of the replacement referees that suffered intense scrutiny as a result of being put in a bad situation. I also feel a bit bad specifically for Elliot, who didn't see the play and was relying upon Easley's ruling when looking at the replay. I would've felt some sympathy for Easley if he didn't act so defiantly afterwards. That disgusted me.

If any of them had acted the way Jim Joyce did, I would have felt nothing but empathy. They didn't.
