Lulz:

Linebacker Rolando McClain is lodged in the middle of an Oakland Raiders defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in most every major category. He sounds like a man who'd rather be anywhere else.

"Officially no longer an Oakland Raider!!" McClain wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday.

OK.

That flaming arrow sat in space for a few seconds before McClain clarified: "Well technically I am," he wrote. "But I'm mentally done. Just waiting on my papers."

Then: "It's out of my hands right now."

Then: "I'm gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual 'team.'"

Then: "I'd like to be anywhere besides here."

Ouch.

NFL Network's exhaustive Ian Rapoport first alerted us to McClain's riff before reporting that the Raiders said McClain is still on the team. The linebacker's representatives say they have not been notified. "McClain, apparently, disagrees," Rap Sheet tweeted.

Not a glowing endorsement of this year's Oakland Raiders, but it goes both ways. If he gets his wish, what team comes running after an average linebacker who airs his dirty laundry inside the walls of Mark Zuckerberg's kingdom?

I haven't watched a Raiders game in forever and I have no idea how he fits our system but I find it difficult to believe he could be any worse than Hawk.

He's a lot like Finley from what I'm understanding. Thinks he's a ton better than he really is and likes to open his mouth up about it.

Probably not great for the NFL that a concussion cost Alex Smith his job.

I feel kinda bad for McKenzie that after waiting so long to get a GM gig, he had to inherit that complete mess between the bad talent, cap in shambles, and the Palmer trade eating up high draft picks.

Besides the Hershal Walker trade, that Palmer trade off the top of my head ranks right up there for next worst.

Probably the worst possible thing for the league if they're serious about concussions.

Homer was talking about the whole "you shouldn't lose your job due to injury" thing, and I agree with him that its a cliche and shouldn't exist. Bottom line is, the coach has the right to put the best players on the field, and in almost every instance, the better player plays. The only reason it looks bad is because it was a concussion. If it was a bad hammy or something similar there would be no uproar.

I agree completely. If Harbaugh thought Smith wasn't the best option, then start the other guy.
