Three-peat at B1G Champions! Let us not three-peat as Rose Bowl losers.

Sadly, I don't think a matchup with Stanford favors us at all. They are like a better version of us.

So I'm seeing that stiffarm...finally seeing the full highlight.
I was watching with mostly non-Badger fans and they were making the decision to change the channel with Ball running up in the little box in the guide. Change the channel and I said "at least let me watch the end of that play." He quickly flips back and Ball is crossing the goal line. I had no idea Ball bitched that guy in between.

Re: Big Ten Championship Thread
Watching the game, one thing that irritated me was how Canada spent most of the year only faking the handoff to Gordon as he came in motion. Maybe 1-3 times a game would Gordon get the ball after going in motion 10-20 times in a game. Instead, it was mainly just used as a diversion on zone runs up the gut to Ball. I would get annoyed that it wasn't handed to Gordon more and thus defenses played the inside run a lot more.
Yesterday though, after Gordon broke off a couple long runs on that motion play, i'd rewind both inside runs and jet sweeps to Gordon, it was obvious that Nebraska defenders were consistently confused as to who was going to get the ball. On a couple of the long runs by Ball, after Gordon went in motion, 3-5 defenders would flow to him and then as Ball got the inside handoff, the o-line outnumbered NU defenders who already couldn't handle our line on normal inside runs.
We obviously weren't going to run for 500 plus yards vs teams like PSU/OSU/MSU even if Canada had used the jet sweep more with Gordon instead of mainly just faking it, but i do think it would have forced those defenses to honor Gordon more as he went in motion. He's such a skilled and fast back, and those plays allow him to get out in space. Giving him the ball at minimum five times each game on that play i think would have created both more longer runs for him and Ball during the season.

Still would be okay with this.

What a f*cking great performance, though. I felt really good about our chances to be in the game or win going in, but never in a million years did I think we would win convincingly, let alone hang up 70. Football orgasm achieved.
