Wanted to add, any other early takeaways on the season (e.g., strategies that paid off, impressions on WR's, RB's, etc.). Sleepers/dominant picks for next year?

G'luck to all in their bids for a 'ship!

We did an auction draft in a non-PPR league with 2 flexes that started with $200.

I spent $100 on Arian Foster, Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, and Stevan Ridley. I took an educated chance on Ridley (that has largely paid off), but thought I'd be getting 4 bell cow type backs that would offer fairly consistent week to week production.

I spent about $50 of the balance on 3 WRs: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, and Torrey Smith all of whom have been incredibly inconsistent, and frankly mildly disappointing. I was actually struggling to win games until Dez pulled his head out of his ass.

I spent $9 on Matt Ryan who was the steal of the draft.

I think I spent $1 on my starting TE, which was a position I primarily streamed all year until landing on Heath Miller.

The rest of my team was rounded out with cheap young guys who either never have had a chance; Russell Wilson, Jon Dwyer, David Wilson, Jon Blackmon, etc... or cheap guys coming off an injury like Kenny Britt. These guys were almost uniformly dropped withing three weeks, but I picked them all back up at their first sign of a good game.

As you may notice, with my main spending, I took no injury risks. Payton and AP have paid off handsomely, but many other flopped.

In retrospect, I like what I did with the RBs quite a bit. Unless you were lucky enough to hold the waiver priority to get Alfred Morris or Knowshown Moreno, there simply aren't productive RBs on the wire. Conversely, I was able to pick up TY Hilton, Danario Alexander, Heath Miller, Kyle Rudolph, Carson Palmer, Russell Wilson, etc.... all in productive periods of their season. Other people were picking up great WRs also. I think James Jones was actually dropped twice in my league.

EDIT: btw.. I blew my league out on points. Won 9 in a row to end the season. Currently in the championship game against the guy with RGIII, Calvin Johnson, and AP. I'm crapping my pants.

Thank God that Calvin had such a huge game for me.

So far AP, Alfred, and Graham have been disappointments. In our league when players go over 100 yards (or QB goes over 300) it is HUGE. So to see Alfred, Wes, AP, and Graham all end up so close to 100 but not there and Ryan 21 yards away from 300 if my opponent comes back and wins I will not be happy.

Looking like Arian Foster decimated me in one league, should win in spite of him in the other. Such a disappointing showing from him.

Well Leslie Frazier can get all the credit he wants for winning, but that was more the Texans offense losing the game. He was a DUMB ass to go away from AP so often. Ponder was sacked multiple times, lost a fumble, and almost gave up a safety. I hope next week he refuses to give the ball to AP on 1st and 2nd down too.

Ironically my league decided to have only first place win all of the money. No second place or third place winner. I tried to ask for second place to win at least their money back, the guy who argued with me is the guy I am whooping in the championship. I bet he wishes he took that offer as he is down 100 pts, Forte went out of the game and my defense is dominating with Lynch to pour on some more points tonight.

I need 0.2 points out of Marshawn Lynch to win.

I wrote that long post about consistent RB production and 3 of them crapped the bed to a large extent.

Thank God for Dez.

My opponent had Calvin, Colston, and Maclin. They combined for nearly 500 yards, but only one TD.

1-1 on the day. What a way to end my Arian Foster era. Got him for a 15th, kept him twice, and he absolutely effed me in the b today on a 7 pt loss.

Nothing worse than an epic points week following a loss, DB.

Grats to the champs, condolences to those coming up a bit short... as they say, fantasy... she's a cruel mistress.

Fantasy gods almost smited me for getting cute and picking up and starting Amendola over Hilton/Torrey Smith/Antonio Brown and replacing my year long kicker (Barth) for Olindo Mare.

After the noon games yesterday I was up 6 with Mare vs Cruz/Pitta/49er D...and somehow won. That game last night was unreal.

My lucky team got decimated 58-118 lol.

I've been willing to commish a 'paid' version of RealGM, but no one had any interest. Maybe next year?

hey guys, need some outside fantasy advice. in my championship game, have matt ryan and andrew luck. ryan figures to play it like a preseason game, while i'm iffy on luck playing the full four regardless of what pagano says---one rough jj watt takedown in the third quarter and i see their prize qb headed straight to the bench.

so i picked up michael vick as insurance earlier in the week. my thought is a full four quarters out of a rested vick is better than two or three out of the other guys in meaningless games. but now i see maclin is hurt and may not suit as well. thoughts?
