I can't root for any player to get a career-ending injury, but I do hope Merriweather gets fined and that he learns from this and is taught not to lower his head anymore.

Remember, he's been out for the last season+, during the time when the league started coming down HARD on players who hit like him. I think it's just a matter of bad tackling technique. I don't believe he tried to intentionally hurt anyone.

He is a pretty good player, but he has done this his whole career. The only way he can continue in this league is if he changes his technique big time.
