Nice attitude from a moderator. I'll have you know that I am going to report your ass. I wanted a civil conversation, but of course you are incapable of that. This is the 3rd time you've attacked a poster on the RealGM baseball boards. Aren't you supposed to set an example as a moderator? It's laughable to think that you could have made the wildcard after we pretty much eliminated the Red Sox from any playoff contention after our 5 game sweep.

So watch the attitude buddy. I don't appreciate that attitude around here. I'm sorry everybody else doesn't. So talk your smack talk and go elsehere. MAHALO.

:waaa: :waaa: :waaa:

Please don't report me, PLEEAASSSEEEE????

I didn't attack you, I was making a commentary on the body cavity in which you are communicating out of. Aren't you the one who posted

Dude, what do you not understand?!!!!

to your fellow Yankees fan? Doesn't come off all that civil to me, I don't think. You want to be a know it all and bring NOTHING to the table to prove that the Red Sox could not have made the playoffs after your sweep, instead stating that your sophist logic makes any other point "laughable" has drawn the ire of your fellow Yankees fans. I come to this board because I don't know many Yankees fans and aside from you, I've had ZERO issues communicating with them or having an intelligent discussion with them. In fact, I think nykgeneralmanager might kinda like me  . So no, I'd rather stick around here and continue to discuss baseball with intelligent Yankees fans. mahalo

I've disagreed with posters before, you know, that's kinda what message boards are all about, different opinions. But I don't have an issue with any other posters (now that I don't visit the old RealGM anymore). BS007 is a regular on the Sox board and I disagree with almost everything he posts. But there is logic behind his arguments, he has reasons for his beliefs, and that's that. Even GreenGrizz, who thought I call an idiot, I have no issue with because I showed him his faulty logic and his questionable attitude and we had an engaging discussion after that. So yeah, zero issues.

How exactly do you make one "get lost" on a message board? mahalo

cmaff is in a way right....Boston was 2 out of the wildcard as late as 8/19 last year..... http://www.baseballrace.com/races/MLB-2 ... ldcard.asp They were tied for the lead on 8/7. The 5 game series ended on 8/22 and Boston was 4 out.

This is absolutely true, they were four games out as of 8/22. Now they were 12 games behind Detroit at that point, who had the best record in baseball at that point but would need the Wild Card to make the playoffs. Detroit had won 81 games to that point, they wound up winning only 95, they won only 14 games between 8/22 and 10/1. The Red Sox won 69 games by that point and only 86 games, meaning they won 17 games with at AAA pitching staff.

Had Wakefield and Lester been healthy, had Papelbon pitched in Setpember, had Manny and Varitek and Nixon not been injured and thus, forcing two bit players like a Javy Lopez/Doug Mirabelli platoon, Eric Hinkse, and Wily Mo Pena forced into every day roles, it is not "laughable" that the Sox could have at least made a race out of it. Please don't think I'm saying the Sox would make the playoffs without a doubt, there was plenty of doubt. But if not for the injuries, the Sox would have finished a lot closer than 9 games out of the Wild Card. I don't think that it is a laughable position.

Thank you for finding that wonderful site. I looked quick on google to see if I could find something like that and that just looks so badass. Thanks again. mahalo

So much animosity. I don't think it has anything to do with the 11.5 game lead the Sux have over the Yanks.........

No way dude. If you live in a cold climate, your house is going to get knocked down in winter storms. Imagine having to shovel broken glass. Plus your house will lose all it's heat because there is no insulation. Live in a hot climate and you are going to be living under a magnifying glass, you're just begging for cancer. Living in a glass house has no benefits bud. mahalo
