The Hayward storyline has got to be one of the most disappointing things about this season for me. I think everyone was counting on him to build on last season and be our best CB. It didn't look like he was ever 100% after that initial injury.

No surprise but still disappointing
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I hope Worthy can help out. He was so good in college.

Did Hayward have a new injury or the same one from the start of the year?

I called Hayward going on IR before the season started. Classic Packers. This team is a sick joke.

Worst training staff/doctors on any professional team. Something is very wrong with this team and its not just bad luck.

Can't wait for this season to end.

I'm sorry but this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen posted on a board. It's football and an incredibly violent sport. The providers have moderate at best control over what happens with guys. Look to Georgia or Florida in CFB for massive amounts of injuries. Look around the entire NFL for guys with hamstring shutdowns. Making uneducated sweeping generalizations is foolish.

We need to get the Phoenix Suns medical staff in GB. Guaranteed Super Bowl tbh.

I remember that, you did indeed call this Hayward situation back in August.

And I agree with your second sentence to a certain extent, you can't control injuries but you can't just chalk up the Packers last 4 seasons of injuries woes to simply having bad luck.

Not when it's THIS bad EVERY season.

Rila but its this bad every season to the entire NFL.
For reference here is the injury report for all this games on week 12. ( http://www.nfl.com/injuries ) Injuries are a part of the game and not an excuse. Medical doctors treat injuries and try their best to prevent them. However, there is no possible way to avoid it in totality Furthermore there is no way to magically heal people other than using illegal means.
Blaming care providers or hinting at medical negligence is just plain wrong.

Hayward pulled his hammy in the offseason away from the team. He didn't even show up to training camp until like two weeks before the end of it.

Are the Packers consistently above the league average in injuries? Sure seems that way.

It's also absolutely true that training has an effect on injury prevention. We know the hamstring issues, and the effect of certain weight training on bone density.

This is certainly something that needs to be looked at. It's been happening too much to be attributed to luck.

I remember you calling this as well. I was hopeful your assertions would fall short. Unfortunately, they've proved true. As to the rest, who knows. The NFL is a brutal professional league. Extremely violent and extremely demanding of the athletes. A lifelong Bucks fan, I'm extremely grateful for the training staff with the Packers - in the very least, I can expect accurate and honest information relayed to us. And, as others have pointed out, there may well be a fundamental training issue within the program but I find it hard to believe they're coming up short in that department given their earnest efforts to address this in two offseason. I'll hold out hope some day we'll get a bit more lucky and the Packers will continue to strive to improve in this area because I know they will.

However, I'd just like to point out if A-Rod doesn't suffer a freak clavicle injury we're not dealing with the situation we're dealing with now. Plain and simple. The only two guys on the team who've had lasting hamstring injuries, from what I can recall, are Mathews and, now, Hayward. We're really going to have to prioritize the secondary this offseason. As usual, there is no shortage of interest in what's going on at Lambeau.

I don't know if it's the number of injuries we've had this season that's been as bad as specifically who's been getting injured. It literally has been all our best players except for Jordy (KNOCK ON WOOD).
