Collins is still hurting with a bruise. Rouse is currently the #1 backup to both safety positions (very surprising IMO).
He saw brief duty last Sunday, but I actually think this would be a good game for Rouse to really get acclimated to the NFL. The Bears offense is garbage and I don't see them putting up a ton of points.
Here's a nice seven minute youtube video about his path to the NFL.
Rouse may start on Sunday

great clip. I hope the best for the kid. He seems to be tweener of sorts...but with his measurables and football skills, he should be able to make a nice transfer to the saftey position. I might be totally off, but what was his primary position at VT, I could've swore that they were talking about him be a conversion of sorts.

Collins returned to practice yesterday, he'll practice today and he'll play on sunday.....
Packers FS Nick Collins (knee) returned to practice Thursday and is expected to start against the Bears on Sunday Night Football.
Collins' knee was only bruised. The 2005 second-round pick has notched 15 tackles through four games, with a pair of pass deflections and no picks.
