The one thing we'll never know is if Sherrod would have been a bust regardless of that serious injury he faced.

If my memory is correct McGinn said back in Sherrod's rookie year that he didn't stand out at all in training camp, but that was so long ago that my memory could be faulty. Either way, he did get hurt and is now waived. Yet another in a stretch of first round picks who have either been a bust or who haven't done much so far with Sherrod, Perry, and Jones. Mix in Worthy in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft, that's four pretty recent high picks who have yet to contribute much at all. Tough on a team who relies so heavily on the draft.
