I would make the move if it involved a mid-to-late round pick.
That said, the reason a guy like Janis can't get on the field isn't from a lack of athletic ability or hands, it's that Rodgers requires trust in his targets and Janis hasn't earned it. I'm not sure we could expect Davis to earn that in such a short amount of time. But if he could by the time the playoffs come around? There's zero doubt in my mind he'd be a better option than the slap-dicks currently playing tight end.
