This game will reveal a lot about how this team will do in the playoffs. Not expecting a win but I wouldn't be surprised by one.

I agree it's crazy to think and then what makes it 100x crazier on top of that is the fact that this is the same Packer team that 2 months ago stood at 6-0 with Aaron Rodgers looking like the clear cut favorite for MVP for a 2nd straight season while getting comparisons to Michael Jordan as an ALL TIME all time great.

Then something very very very bad happened to this team internally.I don't know what happened, but something did and it goes a hell of a lot deeper than not having Jordy Nelson.

The receiving core simply got exposed for not having any speed. You have Adams and Jones on the outside which scares nobody on defense and R. Rodgers at TE who is also slow as hell. Even when they were 6-0, the passing game wasn't nearly as explosive as in the past.

The only 300 yard game for Aaron in those first six games was vs the Chiefs and four of those six were at home. This also hurt the running game because defenses realized they didn't have to fear big plays downfield as in the past, so they started blitzing more and and leaving a safety in the box to help stop the run.

Why keep safeties deep anymore? Who is a threat to beat corners deep vs man coverage? Even for as good as Cobb is, he's more quick than fast. Just press our outside receivers at the line of scrimmage and dare them to beat someone. Put any linebacker on Richard Rodgers, it's not like he'll run past a linebacker down the seam.

Aaron Rodgers looked as good as he ever did in a Packer uniform those first few games this season.

I remember at one point, maybe during the Chiefs game watching in almost in disbelief how Rodgers won MVP last season and somehow looked even better this season. That was the same game Rodgers got the MJ comparisons.

But then the league simply figured out that our receivers aren't fast....yeah ok.

While I do agree our receiving talent has dropped off,it's still not enough to convince me that's the reason why Aaron Rodgers and our offense has fallen completely off the face of earth.

I haven't gone back at looked at the tape, but from what I read, at one point one of those teams in that 6 win run actually realized they should stop playing cover two and just started manning up on the WRs, with no safety help, started doubling cobb or using the extra defender at the line on the run or sending those extra guys on blitzes. AND IT WORKED. And the next team copied it, and it worked. And so on.

It is a copy cat league and they found what works against the offense, not just works but destroys this offense. So why would any defense STOP using a formula that has turned the offense to crap?

The offense has been exposed, and no defense will play the Packers ANY OTHER WAY, until the Packers can prove they can beat it. They beat it once because they ran for 200 yards. And they beat it one other time via a throw and a prayer. In general this offense cannot consistently beat the current defense. a few good screens, and hoping for PI are not enough to win games. That's about all that works on offense. MM needs to wake up the current offense is exposed and does not work. I just don't know when that will happen if ever.

Is it one thing? No, it's not. the offensive staff have their heads in the sand and are not getting creative to find plays that suit their personnel or put them in a position to succeed. It's usually the opposite. Lacy and Starks are terrible at times, that puts added pressure on the passing game. 2 or 3 Oline out every week makes it worse, and when the starters are in they are also playing like garbage with all their holding calls. And of course the WRs suck in man coverage which loads a box to make even less room for Lacy/Starks who are looking crappy to begin with.

It's a perfect storm of crap.
