I've been on the #StartBart bandwagon for a few years now, but Hornibrook made plays when Houston wasn't. He deserves to start.

I just wish the Badgers had another game or two vs the likes of say Purdue/Illinois/Indiana for Hornibrook to get more comfortable before having to face this upcoming four game four stretch against MSU, Michigan, Ohio St, and Iowa.

Bart's performance last week wasn't terrible. His supporting cast did him no favors. The fumble, the missed FG, a few bad drops on well thrown balls. These weren't his fault, but they led to the offensive impotence of the first half.

That said, he also hasn't been lighting the world on fire so if they want to switch it up I'll get behind it.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Sounds like something Bart Houston would say. Is his middle name Lippo?

Have you watched the games at all?

We are 2-0
We beat LSU, Something Stave couldn't do w/ Gordon

Why didn't we pull Stave for Houston in week 2 that year.
Just saying

Its not like Hornibrook is some great recruit, Houston was actually.

Jut saying this off the top of my head, but I think Houston is the highest rated recruit ever at Wisconsin at the QB position.

At UW, basically the inverse is successful. If you throw Wilson in who was initially a 2/3 star guy, basically every successful QB was a lower star recruit. Anyone that is high 3 or 4 stars (no 5s to my knowledge) has failed. Hornibrook has clearly shown that he's polished and looks like a Tolzien-esque (or better) QB going forward.

So you want another Tolzein, OK..
I kinda want a future NFL starter.. so you know we can complete for a national championship some day.

Hornibrook has clearly shown that he's polished

lol? based on 20 minutes vs Georgia State, well see if that's true vs Michigan State.

When is the last time Houston lost a game he started? 2005?
Has he ever?

So you haven't watched?

We are 3-0. We beat LSU by a lot less than we should have thanks to Houston's INT in the end zone and pick 6. Stave didn't play against LSU a couple of years ago and we were destroying them until Andersen took Gordon out in the 2nd half. It was only after Gordon went out, when Clement and especially McEvoy couldn't move the ball that LSU came back and won.

As far as great recruits. Houston was a 4 star, Hornibrook was a 3 star. J.J. Watt was a two star recruit. They mean exactly dick when a player gets on the field. And when they've both gotten on the field, the ball has been moved down it far more easily with Hornibrook than with Houston. Now who knows how Hornibrook will do in a hostile environment. He might struggle, but I'd guess Houston would struggle too since the only game he didn't struggle in was Akron.

The "Bart Houston is Awesome" soap box seems to be kind of a strange one. Wisconsin likely loses vs Georgia State if he stays in that game.

I wanted Houston over Stave myself, but it appears I was wrong.

Houston will get a lot of PT this year still, Honribrook will struggle and get pulled.
Revolving door at QB inc this year.

If both are going to struggle, just stay with Hornibrook. He actually has a future at the program. This is it for Houston. No use in forcing him in there trying to make him better.

1) Stave didn't start against LSU.

2) Houston threw a pick-6 and a pick in the end zone. One could make the argument Houston cost the team a 10-point swing and the team actually won in spite of him.

Are you predicting that Horni gets hurt? Dude just basically signed a 4-year contract as the starter today.

Houston won't play again this year without an injury.
