The latter of those players needs to just retire if a concussion basically wiped out an entire season. No hard feelings, protect your brain.

Both may have played their last downs with the packers.

Yepp. I hope he makes the smart decision. For an undrafted guy, he's definitely had a good career. I'm more than thankful for his time year if only for the 2010 season

Not sure what to make of Lacy. Is he gonna demand a decent amount of money? Don't care if he stays for cheap and we use him in tandem with a faster back, but otherwise oh well. Best of luck

We probably wait until after the draft to do anything with Lacy. Numerous mocks have us taking Fournette at our current spot.

And if Shields has been just reasonably smart with his money and remains so, he'll be set for life financially.

Yeah, being his fifth DOCUMENTED concussion, I think it's time to hang it up. Not happy about it, but don't want to see him lose his mind.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
Just read McCarthy wouldn't say if barclay or spriggs would start at g..... um what the hell tape is he watching to think barclay should be even considered?? I realize that g is not the ideal position for spriggs but for for **** sake he still a much better option than Donnie.
One of my biggest complaints about this coaching staff is its sheer stubbornness. From continuing to run barclay out when hes been trash for 2 years. To continuing to use hyde when he hasnt held up in coverage in years. To using richard rodgers as a split out wr when hes proven to suck at it. I could go on and on. The cliche about the definition of insanity applies well with this team.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
Barclay is a veteran, Spriggs is a rookie. In coach logic, you go with the veteran the majority of the time because reasons.

Outta shape, coming off a major injury, only has a handful of good games, in a position that is often undervalued and seen as a short shelf life...there is an outside change we can keep him at an extreme discount.
I wouldn't pay him what Lamar Miller or Doug Martin signed for last year, but in the Matt Forte/CJ Anderson range sure. There is always some team that throws dumb money at certain free agents. If that happens...goodbye. Outside of Leveon Bell, not very many good free agent RBs....and I am sure Bell will be franchised.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
Id consider lacy on a 1yr deal for super cheap but even then he should have to battle for a roster spot. Hell im more interested to see what michael can do over these last 6 games... if he plays well maybe you bring him back and pair him with Montgomery and a mid round draft pick.

Lacy isn't going to have much of a market because of those red flags.

Lacy probably comes back on a Nick Perry type deal.
