Ehh. Some other team will probably offer him another HC job

Of fired or soon to be fired coaches Id rank rex 3rd on my list of d coordinator candidates behind todd bowles and gus bradley.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: ATL Week 16
Hopefully the players that played for Rex's elite Jets/Bills defenses, Bowles' Cards' D, and Bradley's Seahawks' D come with. I'm not saying that all of them are terrible coaches but I think that makes a big difference. All of these guys' defenses eroded when they moved to a new team.
Bowles had probably the worst defense in the league this year, Bradley's were never very good, and Rex's struggled mightily this year. Look at Dan Quinn in Atlanta. His defense is OK, but he was supposed to be a defensive mind and they're still nothing special there. They may all be worthy defensive coordinators, but I think there is a lot of overrating that goes on when you've got good talent and a good system.

Having lots of talent on a unit makes coaches/coordinators look smart and lacking talent makes coaches look stupid.

Yeah...stating the obvious but I think a lot of these guys were rightfully plucked from good systems, but I'm not sure that all of them are really that good of coaches.
