The Patriots are 5-2 and basically just shut out (when it mattered) a team that might put up 40 on the Packer's defense in a blizzard.

Send me the link to the final score of the Super Bowl in February.Oh wait, don't bother, I actually watch the games.

lol, no you don’t, how many patriots games have you watched? How many have they given up under 400 yards of offense? Oh wait. 1. Today. Don’t play yourself cause you looked at the scores of their games.

So your logic is look at the stats and not the final scores? ok.

I've watched 4 of the their 7 games and watched chunks of all of them.Again, the Pats defense looked shaky the first few weeks of the season, but the bottom line is they are 5-2 and giving up 13ppg in their last 3 games, 2 of which were against the Buccaneers and Falcons. That's an improving defense and you knew they would eventually figure things out and they'll be there when it matters in December and January.

I don't think they are going to be the 2000 Ravens this season, but if the argument is the Pats defense is worse than the Packers we are watching the games with different glasses.

Well I have probably watched 90% of their games going on 6 years running. And last week they gave up over 400 to the jets. Your points on scores improving are valid, sure. But until tonight, it was empty stats imo. Tonight was something different. And thus why I brought it up. How is this happening? I do trust Belichick to find a way though. It’s what he does. But this is the worst defense they probably ever had. They have the best offense in the league and gain 410 or so yards a game. They also have the worst D and give up 430+ coming in to tonight and have looked bad regardless of score every game until tonight.

Either way, it 100% sucks this is the year we lose Rodgers. No team is that great this year thus far.

The Patriots defense wasn't even good last year. It's rarely been that good when they win titles. Before you tell me they were first or second in points last season look at the QBs they faced. I've never seen such a cupcake schedule than what they had last season. It was a litany of backups and journeymen. When they played good offenses they were badly exposed.

What they have done consistently better than the Packers is add value veterans that other teams have given up on, extract value from them and then say goodbye before they have to really pay them.

Belichick gets every drop out of guys, but it may not be fair to hold the Packers to that standard. He is the best coach of all time. I'm not sure why anyone bothers arguing that the Packers are similar or as good or something. They're not. Not even close in terms of organizational management.

Agree. I think they're the ~10th best team in the league and if Rodgers was healthy to beat them 1-2 times this year, they're probably a ~9 win team.

Now they're going to win 11. Their 5 game stretch after Cleveland will be telling, but they've got a shot at a bye and the NFC sucks. They may end up beating the Saints and the Rams and getting a home Super Bowl.

The Vikings aren't going anywhere. There are way too many playoff teams with real QBs. Seattle has a better chance at getting back than Minnesota does solely because of Wilson. You still have Philly, Atlanta finding its way, LA with a #1 pick playing well at QB, Dallas is going to get better and of course, Brees and the Saints who suddenly have a shot at this.

Don’t forget about Philly. Their run defense is nuts. Besides Cam’s scrambles, they held Carolina to .6 yards a carry last week.
