Where did I say that?
I think there's a few reasons for his play today, where I thought he played more confidently and freely.
The Jets defense is crap.
Rodgers feels healthier.
The weather was a bit warmer.
He's feeling happier with Philbin over McCarthy.
He wanted to stick it to the hotshot rookie.
He was just having fun out there.
I don't know what it was. But I'm not going to complain about it because he SHOULD be playing this well against the Jets. I'd feel worse if he was out there playing like dog **** against a team this crappy.
If the coaching staff and front office won't bench him, I'd rather see him play well than play poorly. It's not his job to tank.
I was wondering if maybe Aaron suspects he's not gonna play next week so he went all out for his last game of the year. Just another theory.

I doubt it. He's going to play next week too. It's funny because at this point in Favre's career, he had a couple of years in 2005 and 2006 where they could have shut him down in December. The very thought of him even resting for the rest of the year would have been just completely scoffed at by everybody -- Favre himself, the team, and most of the fans. Obviously it's a different era now, but I really have a hard time blaming a guy for wanting to play and wanting to compete.
I was pretty annoyed at the win yesterday, but I quickly went from feeling annoyed to indifferent about it. If yesterday and next week means Rodgers can continue to build trust and rapport with EQ, MVS and Kumerow, I guess I'm okay with it. He missed some throws early yesterday, but he actually looked like himself after the first quarter. Of course, all of those factors that were listed above probably contributed to it.
I'm just ready for this season to be done. Hopefully nobody gets seriously hurt on Sunday and the offseason begins without any further issues.
