I genuinely think this team will produce a lot of successful pros. Just weren't blessed with depth, fuse-pieces, shrewd coaching, and a sole focus on football.

Rosier pulled a Horni and took his team out of it. Game Manager Coan FTW.

Re: GT: Bucky/Miami
If I'm Taylor I hire an agent, take a small loan, just workout, and sit out my junior year. He has nothing left to prove to get a lifetime of financial security his first contract and nobody is going to compensate him much if he gets hurt. At best he takes tread off those tires to make max money on the back end.
Of course selfishly I want him to play. I don't think he's replaceable. Although I still think the run game would be solid. The heir apparents in the offensive line have promise and a rb core of Groscheck, Shaw, and Deal has potential. They've shown flashes. And I like Nakia Watson + Julius Davis as the next generation.

He has 15 career receptions. He probably needs to show more in the screen game and some wheel routes.

Deal is graduating, FWIW. Shaw I completely forgot about given injuries but wonder if he’ll ever be back and he had underwhelmed. I like Groshek but he apparently is the worst pass protector ever.
All of that said, they’ll put together a solid group of RBs if it really comes to that as you’ve said.

I know the QB play is beyond awful, but this would have been the perfect year to give him that type of work instead of having Groshek in every time we ran a screen or a route in the flats.

Rare to see a game where was 35-3 scoreline was flattering for the losing team. Should've been a lot worse.

I really doubt it will because that would be highly atypical and he comes across as a very team-oriented, deferential guy. So fortunately we'll receive another year of his greatness we're not worthy of.
I think he's an outstanding runner on the next level bar injury. He makes something out of nothing frequently, and a lot out of a little as well. He runs away from smaller opponents in the open field. Doesn't go down easily. It's reasonable to have qualms about his receiving or lack there of.
But the same concern existed about Melvin, he went mid 1st rd, and outside of maybe his rookie year he's excelled, which is now showing not just in the volume production but ypc since their OL doesn't suck anymore. He's also been reasonably productive as a receiver. I think this really boosts Taylor's stock because the perception will be Wisconsin doesn't use their feature back in the pass game. They do sometimes, but it's like you have to be pre-designated as that being one of your strengths, i.e.: Calhoun.
