Just watching highlights of this dude it looks like he has really quick feet and soft hands, very surprising to see he ran over 4.7, but also surprising that he's 251 lbs. I wonder if the two things are related. Did he bulk up for the combine?

Re: Third Round (75) - Jace Sternberger - Texas A&M
He is a very smooth route runner. I could see him beating a LB with ease, while having the physicality to contend with a corner or a safety. My questions are about his hands and his blocking. I think he'd get run over trying to run block.

He's a willing blocker, but not very good at it. More of a "get in the way" kind of blocker, but we drafted him to beat LB's and safeties.
I think he'll eventually be a really nice safety blanket AND big play threat for Aaron. Definitely a guy that I think will earn his respect quickly, expect year one impact.

I believe he will be learn some blocking techniques with Marcedes Lewis, that will be good for his development and probably he will be our starting TE for 2020-2021 season when we waive Graham.

Re: Third Round (75) - Jace Sternberger - Texas A&M
MEASURABLES: Height: 6'4" | Weight: 251 lbs. | 40-Yard Dash: 4.75 |
Hands: 9 3/4"
NFL COMBINE: Bench Reps: 17 | Vertical: 31.5" | Broad: 113" |
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.31 | 60-Yard Shuttle: 12.09 | Three-Cone: 7.19
2018 STATS: 48 Rec | 832 Yards | 10 TDs
IN A NUTSHELL:
Sternberger is a touchdown machine, as evidenced by reaching
the end zone ten times in his final season as an Aggie. Sternberger
is a tough cover in the red zone with his ability to play above
the rim and make contested catches. This was a big reason for
his dominance when the Aggies got into the red zone. Sternberger
also represents a big target over the middle of the field when
he's not in the red zone. He's able to get you completions, but
he lacks the ability for big plays after the catch.
FIT WITH THE PACKERS:
Sternberger could likely be a red zone threat the day he walks
into camp, in the fashion the Packers likely hoped Jimmy
Graham was going to be. He's a big target with strong hands,
which should help him quickly earn the trust of Aaron Rodgers.
He won't break a lot of plays once the ball is in his hands but
could be a very good possession tight end in the future. His
ability as a blocker is questionable at best at this stage of his
career. He will need to add strength in order to move people
in the run game.

This might be my favorite pick so far.
Combine numbers basically identical to TJ Hockensen.
If there were another year of film on this guy like last year, he's a late 1st / early 2nd round pick

My buddy who went to A&M is a huge fan of this guy. First one in, last one out of the gym kind of guy. Also really likes Keke.

I was actually wondering how he kind of flew under the radar given he seems really talented. I think you are spot on.

Are there age concerns with him? I couldn't find his exact birthday anywhere.

It is a little odd we don't have an exact birthdate, but he was a senior in high school in 2014 so how old could he be?
2015 - Redshirt
2016 - Barely played
2017 - Played at a Juco after transferring
2018- A&M
22ish seems about right.

The real question is, how many times did he go through High School?

We now have a date with Jace, according to wikapeadia it's June 26 96. Google still pops up 'about 22' which cracks me up.
