Chipped by the TE, chipped by the RB and some nice speed around Kalil.

Again double team but he fakes inside and speeds around the LT to almost get to Webb on the quick drop.

So? They still have not shown any improvement. It doesn't matter how much they do off the field if the on field product continues to fail to do it's job.MAC1987 wrote:I don't think you understand the turnover/change on the defensive side of the ball. While this maybe obvious, Dom Capers is no longer the coach. He was fired. The defense is very, very different. Their focus these last 2 off-seasons was predominantly defense (+big FA signings on D) which never happened under TT/Capers. I was surprised to see the focus on D in free agency and the draft.
And you know that how? And how do you know that McCarthy didn't hold players accountable? Actually you can see examples of McCarthy holding players accountable in his tenure. You can ask Demarous Randall, James Jones and the like who got benched for poor performance to name a few.I can also name the biggest example of all: Brett Favre. McCarthy was all over his ass in practice the first couple of years and he went from 29 INT's to one of his best statisitical seasons s Packer QB. We have yet to see anything from these coaches to say definitely one way or the other on this subject And I don't see anything to be optimistic about when Pettine sill has not put anything resembling a good D on the field yet. There isn't a player that played last night who I want to keep right now as they all stunk up the joint. We now have both a head coach and defensive coach that is going to hold players accountable AND a head coach that isn't going to just ignore the defensive side of the ball. You know, because a head coach shouldn't just focus on the offense. Weird concept. There is alot of change. Alot to be optimistic about.
I am holding them accountable for the now. And in the case of Pettine, this is his second year and his first did not really show any sort of improvement with the D. So far, he has failed as the D is still horrible. he has to be held accountable for that.[And i'm not really clear how we can hold a new head coach, GM/D-Coordinator accountable for the previous 6-7 years that they were not really apart of?
Tt has happened for the past 10 years and I have heard it. It may of not been here, but rest assured there are Packer apologists all over the internet who were saying that every year for the past 10 years. And no, you've never heard this year after year for the last X amount of years because it actually never happened....
Funny how you ignore his yards and his rushing. That puts him at over 300 yards of total offense and as I said, the turnovers bailed them out. He was moving the ball up and down the field. That is embarrassing regardless of what string.MickeyDavis wrote:Webb was 25-40 with 2 picks, sacked twice and 71.4 rating.Against our second, third and fourth stringers. Hardly a pro bowl performance.
