He was the guy I wanted at #12. Imagine him up the middle, next to Clark, with the Smiths on the outside.
I mean we can do this with a bunch of players...... Imagine Bush manning ILB on this defense

Just pointing out the 'what if" game is largely pointless. I do it myself but it's still a fruitless exercise

This does not feel like a season to what if the team. Our 2 major additions to the defense have both been monster. Amos has been the kind of safety we prayed Haha would be. The CB from last year that we traded down (and people complained about not taking Derwin James immediately) has become the highest rated coverage corner in the league. The safety from this year is already in the talks for rookie of the year (barring this injury being serious or repetitive). I think you can give Gary a pass for being moved to a different position, still creating some pressure, and still being very assignment sound against the run.

That was me. And honestly I still think it was a mistake as I think (assuming his injury doesn't rob him of anything) is destined for prime Ed Reed/Troy P territory but at the same time am more then content with Alexander and Savage (labeling Savage as a RoY candidate is misleading though as just cause he's in the top 5 discussion doesnt mean he's in the running of actually winning the award over a guy like D Bush at this point)

I do agree this isnt a year to play the what if game. Theres plenty of intrigue regarding just how good this team can actually be that lamenting specific players comes off very hindsight ish *even if you liked/hated a player ahead of the draft* like me and the Gary pick... Sorry could help myself :)

Way to go Sherman. What a pointless lie to try to propagate in this era of technology. Baker and the Browns had enough hilarious ridicule on them for their start, but Richard managed to make arrogant Baker a bit of a sympathetic figure. Mayfield man bad, so woke. AFC North is a dumpster.

Falcons coach should be the next to go, what an awful team to watch and a waste of some decent talent on offense. The PTSD from that SB is so real.

They play in the AFC East. They've had the NFL's easiest schedule for two decades.

And they still win SB every two or three years...

No way in hell would the Patriots have beaten the Chiefs on the road in KC in the AFC Championship game, then win the Super Bowl while holding the Ram's offense to 3 points last season, if they hadn't played the Jets in week 6.

The were 11-5, and 5-1 against what has been a historically week division for decades. They were the only division champ without another team having a winning record.

The point is they don't even get the chances they get in the playoffs (usually with byes and home field) if they don't play in the worst division in sports.

The Patriots aren't great because they play in a weak division, they're a great team that happens to play in a weak division. I would never deny that the AFC east, for the most part, has been weak over the past 20 years. I just don't think that it takes away from the Patriot's success. Put the Pats in any of the other 3 divisions in the AFC over the past 18 seasons and they still win a **** ton of Super Bowls.

I don't care for anything Baker has said either to the media or to fans. He's such a baby. I remember Arian Foster teased Baker on twitter about him dancing and Baker basically said "I've lost all my respect for you" Lol

He takes everything way too seriously and acts like he has it so rough. The #1 overall pick underdog. Give me a break

Just looked into this Arian Foster spat, and it looks like he got butthurt over a pretty witty joke. And his butthurt nobody fans came out in droves.

Now I can't wait to see him and his fanbase crash and burn. Had no feelings before.

Maybe? But they probably have to play in the Wild Card weekend, or go on the road throughout the playoffs. Instead, by virtue of their division, they're all but assured of a weekend off and home field advantage the majority of the time.

I thought that was surely against NE for a late hit out of bounds. Not sure who was flagged for NYG.

Thats a fumble there for sure

The called them for the hit on Brady when Brady was going for the tackle, and it wasn't even a big (or illegal) hit.

The flagged 44..... possession should have started at the 35 and a FGA, instead started at the 50 and a punt.
