I think that there is a lot of narrative that the Lions played well enough to win and we stole a win. I just want to remind Packer fans that we don't need to feel guilty about this win. Not just because we have been absolutely boned by the refs (including this season -- including in this game), but because the Lions did legitimately nothing outside of the first quarter. As far as the calls, we have been boned a lot of times. It is unfortunate that the Lions were the recipient of the boning this time.

The Lions put up 13 points and 209 yards in the first quarter. After the first quarter? 85 total yards. An average of 28.3 yards PER QUARTER. They were shut down. It isn't going to get talked about. They got drives starting at our 40 after an interception, and near our 10 after a biffed punt reception. The Packers absolutely shut the Lions down for 3 quarters.

This was basically the flip of Cowboys/Packers where the Cowboys marched it up and down the field and messed up a bunch of plays that would've kept them in that game early. Luckily, we won both games.

Teams including the Packers get boned on key calls a number of times in a season. The difference was last night the ESPN color man decided to emotionally vent about it nonstop. Which elevated the issue well beyond where it needed to go. I personally would have given him a seven-day for derailing the thread, er broadcast.

I know I'd be pissed if I were a Detroit fan about the calls. On another subject, Does anyone else think that Stafford just isn't a winner? Obviously he's talented, but Det. seems to find a way to lose.
