Just dumb football

How did the Chargers to's help the Bears? Chargers called them because they were conceding the fg and were hoping for enough time on the clock to get in range for a fg of their own.

First timeout: Bears had second and two, rushing up to the line....probably spike the ball or run a quick outside pass. Instead, they now have a timeout called....chance to huddle....call a run play against a defense that was clearly playing the pass.

Every timeout after that allows Chicago to be conservative and run. That last scramble by Tribusky doesn’t happen if they are forced to use their own timeout. I personally play it so that’s the Bears feel more on their heels....can’t huddle....have to stay to outside passes. Luckily the Bears mismanaged it even more because they could’ve ran at least one or two times at the end then call their timeout and attempted a shorter Fg.

Will the 49ers or Saints ever lose again?!?! They both seem like freight trains right now.

That 49ers game is looking like our 2nd biggest game of the season behind at Minny. Probably gonna need to beat 49ers to get ahead of them in standings.

Its a crime that its week 8 (week 8!!) and the Pats have yet to play a good team.

Its not just their division being crap. They’re the SB champs- isnt the league supposed to pepper some tough games into their schedule? Some “marquee” games?

That's sadly minimal.

Your 16 game schedule is:

6 in your division
4 interconference(NFC East for them this year)
4 against another division(AFC North for them this year)
2 against remaining same conference division teams that finished in the same position as you the previous year(Chiefs and Texans) - These are the only two that are factored in based on their record from last year.

So most of their schedule is filled with a lot of cupcakes this year since the AFC North is also pretty garbage this year and the NFC East isn't anything amazing either.
I'm dealing with cancer, it sucks, can follow along for updates if that's your thing: Chuck's cancer Go Fund Me page

The schedule is predetermined. Patriots next year play home games against Cards, Broncos, Raiders, 49ers, Bills, Dolphins, Jets and AFC North team that finishes in the same position. Road games at Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Chiefs, Chargers, Rams, Seahawks and AFC South team that finishes in the same position.

Tougher on paper than this season.

Thanks guys. I knew the 2 “free” games were determined by previous years record, but didnt know thats how they were determined- I thought nfl just put in “good” or tough games.
