Neither of these are "breaks" for Davis. They're just correct calls.

9 handoffs to wide receivers and all of them worked. I think Michigan has officially become Nebraska.

Actually, I was just thinking about that. Take away the interceptions and the jet action and reverses, the offense hasn't been stellar. You can't take that away, but they won't fly against most good teams

Re: Badgers/Michigan Game Thread
Berger is a much better, more decisive and more instinctive runner than Watson.

Berger looks like a solid prospect. Watson is one of the worst starting RB's I can remember for a long time.

A fifty Burger against Michigan would be a tasty treat.

It depends. If they stack the box it'll keep working. If they spread out more to cover sideline to sideline the OL will open up more holes up the middle. The opponent will need Tampa Bay level MLBs.sdn40 wrote:dogswithbeesintheirmouths wrote:9 handoffs to wide receivers and all of them worked. I think Michigan has officially become Nebraska.

Re: Badgers/Michigan Game Thread
Yup, take away the middle, the edges open up and Vice versa, except against the top 10 or so teams who have big guys who can move and get push upfield to disrupt.
Some of the issue last night was Mertz just missed some throws. Berger might score on the screen on the first drive if Mertz doesn’t airmail it. Additionally, I’m assuming he was instructed to not run due to depth issues, because there were multiple times he was outside the pocket with 10 yards of green and he forced some throw.

Re: Badgers/Michigan Game Thread
For a guy billed as a pocket passer, Mertz seems mobile enough. Just being a bit elusive is good
