Of course it didn't matter....

It puts him in the driver's seat. If they lose next week though its going to Mahomes

He's been in the drivers seat for a while. We don't even know if Mahomes plays next week.

44 TD's, 5 INT's, 4059 yards,
38 TD's, 6 INT's, 4740 yards

That's too big of a disparity for Mahomes to make up IMO and it may get even larger. Rodgers has just been better on the year and he's got the "come back" narrative working in his favor. After winning MVP and then Superbowl MVP, there will be some Mahomes fatigue even though it shouldn't matter.

He's also got 3 rushing TD's compared to Mahomes 2 TDs.

Would love for Rodgers to have a W and another crazy 4TD game to seal HFA and MVP.

Mahomes wasn't the 1 seed in 2018.
Matt Ryan wasn't the 1 seed in 2016.
Aaron Rodgers wasn't the 1 seed in 2014.
Minnesota wasn't the 1 seed in 2012.

The 1 seed doesn't award the MVP. More often than not it's record in combination with statistical separation from your peers.

Lamar Jackson 2019 1st QBR
Patrick Mahomes 2018 1st QBR
Tom Brady 3rd in QBR (behind Case Keenum who didn't have the counting numbers and Wentz who missed the last three games)
Matt Ryan 2016 1st QBR
Cam Newton clear outlier based on his game in 2015.
Aaron Rodgers 2014 2nd in QBR.
Peyton Manning 2013 1st in QBR
Adrian Peterson 2012
Aaron Rodgers 2011 2nd in QBR (+700 yards, +4 TDs, -4 ints vs. Romo)
Tom Brady 2010 1at in QBR

Aaron Rodgers has that statistical separation and if all goes well, he'll have the 1 seed in his own conference. I just don't agree.

Although maybe cold weather gives us an advantage, but Brady has also made a career in cold weather.

Getting too far ahead of myself I know.

If we get the #1 seed, our road to the Super Bowl will likely be Bucs and Saints at Lambeau. Two warm weather teams with QBs over 40. I'd love our chances. Yeah, Brady has played in a bunch of cold weather games, but he's 43 and not being in cold weather for a year would be a big factor in our favor IMO.

I'm sure cranking up that AC in their practice facilities would totally replicate GB too.

Honestly thought our only chance of winning that game was to get ahead enough to try and take Derrick Henry out of the game. While we did that to some extent, our 5 and 6 man fronts on 1st and 2nd down, along with being aggressive with the secondary coming up was just really well done by Pettine and the defense.

I'm kind of shocked.

What did Henry end up with 98 yards? Vegas probably made a killing on that.

I'd bet (pun intended) there were likely a few folks with money on Henry breaking 100yds that probably launched their TV's out the window when Vrabel sent Evans in for the last series, rather than Henry.

MVP was locked up even before this game in all likelihood. Mahomes doesn't even have a case anymore with how he's played the last 4 weeks. Rodgers and Favre now both have 3 MVPs and one SB each.
