I don't think there are rules against trading a pick back to the team you got if from.
And the difference between #53 and #59 would require a 4th and 5th round pick.

Jordan Love rumors heating up. Atlanta keeps being brought up and saw some reports on twitter that they are putting on a full court press for him. If they blew us away with an offer, sure... but I'd rather hold onto Love for now.

As soon as Rodgers signed the extension I started to wonder why Love is on the roster. I'll be disappointed if he's not traded by Saturday.

A second or the option to package him with 1 or both our picks for #8. I'm not as quick to want to get rid of Love as some are. I don't want to just dump him for something like a day 3 pick.

Plus, If Love goes out (song title there....), Kurt Benkert, and Danny Etling are the current in-house backups. That won't work. The Pack would still need to bring on another QB from somewhere.

It would be "funny" if Love turned into a reverse Favre trade with Atlanta. Although Favre cost us a first.

Exactly and this is why the Pack should trade him. They have to decide on his pricy fifth year option next spring so the clock is ticking on trying to recoup some value on that pick.

Take a second and sign some vet off the street as the backup.

Sure, but I also don't see many players worth moving up for. Jermaine Johnson and Jordan Davis are two that I see mocked in the teens that I'd go up and get.

How about our first and Love for Pitts? Don't think it would happen, but would allow Atlanta to get a QB and pair him with a WR with our pick.

Like MM posted above, don'nt dump Love for some Day 3 junk. If the pro talent evaluators rank him above the current draftee crop, then he ought to scare up some good offers.

Also, from an eval perspective, Love has been in a quality pro QB program for two years, working with real pro receivers too
