I'm obviously fine with it, but that's a quick dump of the guy they waited on that long. I wasn't buying the hype over this group of skill players this offseason and I feel like they'd want to give him another chance with a better group next year.

I think that's the most likely outcome. But if he's this bad the rest of the season the Packers are gonna be looking at a top five pick and they'd have to at least consider going with someone different. Hell, Love's cap number is so low they could keep both QBs and trade one or the other if Love improves.

I'm not high on Love's performance this year but with 2 wins already they are not going to have a top 5 pick.

They're in the #8 position right now. They've had the second easiest SOS so far. With the Bears and Vikings playing this week they'll at least be in the #7 spot come Monday. Patriots play the Raiders, Cardinals playing the Rams.

They could be in the top five by the time they play next.

Fair enough. It is definitely possible, though I think as Watson gets healthy/Jones comes back they will probably win 6, maybe 7. But it's in play. And yeah, if we're top 5 then I'd try to take Maye or McCarthy or whatever.

They reworked Loves contact to give themselves an out after this season so I expect them to use that if he doesn't play well the next 12 games.

To me the real question is are they really going to let Gute be the guy to try and replace him. If it were up to me that answer is absolutely not but Murphy might not agree.

By point differential and DVOA they're exactly a .500 team.....so basically right where they were last season. I suppose if you think things are gonna continue to look as bad as the last 2-games on offense, then there's an argument they're a bottom-5 team, but I'm not really seeing it.

Maybe if Jones doesn't play again this year, but that obviously isn't going to happen.

The only way the Packers are a .500 team at the end of the year is if Love starts to play like an average QB. Sure, it might happen, but he's been bottom of the league so far. They're gonna be out their All-Pro LT for the rest of the season, and the rest of the offense is young as hell and prone to mistakes.

As someone who has rewatched every Packer game MLFs play calling remains elite. He has a young offense which is the root of most of their issues. But if you watch the All 22 you can see MLF doing some really creative things

Robinson even have anything left in the tank? He’s been bouncing around since Jacksonville

So did injuries derail his career or was he a one-year wonder? I'm just gonna assume he's still an upgrade cuz it can't be much worse than watching Dillon carry the ball 20-times.

Asking this about a 25 year old is funny but also fair.

If your kid is a really good RB have them try to switch to CB or something. lol

So now we have two rookie DBs named Anthony Johnson on the team, yes?

Curious why the interest in RBs. Is the Jones injury more serious? Are we looking to trade him? Is Dillon or Wilson in danger of being cut? And if so why not just sign Patrick Taylor instead?

Taylor is JAG, I don't think they trust Wilson and they are probably losing faith in Dillon.

But this is also just a practice squad signing. Could simply be a chance to get him in here and see how he looks. It's very possible he never actually plays for the Pack.

He just turned 25 two months ago. I'm guessing he has lingering health issues.
