If we’d have traded Rodgers we’d be stuck with Gute indefinitely.
Here’s what Gute has done:
Traded a first, 2 seconds and a 4th for Love & Watson. These are the guys he thinks will replace Rodgers & Adams.
What a clown.
He’s spent tons of draft capital on defense and we can’t stop the run against anyone.
5 years and we still have an old kicker that can’t get the ball to the end zone on kickoffs. Rather than an explosive returner we have a small, slow backup receiver returning kicks.
Gute sucks. He failed when he moved up to replace Rodgers, and instead gave him a giant contract extension. Fire his ass.

That is a really dumb way of looking at things. Beyond that, for all we know those two will end up being great NFL players.

It's particularly too early to write off Watson.
Though, to be fair, I thought the draft capital used to acquire both of those players was excessive.

How many NFL receivers flinch right before they get hit?
I wouldn’t bet on Watson being a success.

And who were these guys drafted to replace?
Smell the coffee guys, Gute sucks.

Chase Claypool seems to be the hot name right now, but after their last game, I have my doubts they'd deal him.

Not sure what DJ Moore cost but I’d be good with giving up a second for him.

I’m guessing we will need a guy on a rookie contract though or at least someone inexpensive

If it doesn't cost you an arm and leg then sure, go for it. But even getting some slightly above-average veteran guy in here (Claypool, Agholor, etc.) isn't gonna matter if the offense doesn't go through some fundamental changes. Worst thing you can do is give up draft picks in an already lost season.

I agree with the exception I wouldn’t give up a pick for a guy that isn’t young enough and under contract beyond this year. Claypool seems like he’d fit the bill assuming he has another year.

As for the OL, we have the pieces in house to fix it but at least one of these guys needs to get benched and at least two guys need to move to a different spot. I think the guys we have can get it done.

Packers claim offensive lineman off waivers from Colts
Green Bay also makes practice-squad moves
Oct 18, 2022 at 03:00 PM

The Green Bay Packers claimed T Luke Tenuta (tuh-NOOT-uh) off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts, signed S Innis Gaines to the practice squad and released CB Benjie Franklin and LB Ray Wilborn from the practice sqaud. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Tenuta (6-8, 314) was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round (No. 209 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. After training camp, he was claimed off of waivers by the Colts and was a gameday inactive for the first five weeks of the season. In college, Tenuta earned All-ACC honorable mention in 2021 when he played in 12 games with 11 starts at left tackle. He earned All-ACC third-team recognition after starting nine games at right tackle in 2020. Tenuta will wear No. 78 for the Packers.

Gaines (6-1, 202), a first-year player out of TCU, originally signed with the Packers on Jan. 8, 2021. Last season, he was on the Packers' practice squad and appeared in one game. Gaines spent the 2022 offseason and training camp with Green Bay before being waived/injured on Aug. 30. In four seasons (2016-19) at TCU, he played in 38 games, recording 104 tackles (69 solo), 15 tackles for a loss, four sacks, three interceptions, 13 passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Gaines will wear No. 38 for the Packers.

With Pickens in the fold and Johnson just being flat out better with 19.5M due to him next year, he's the logical guy they'd look to move right before he's looking at an extension.

I’d love Dj Moore but doubt they deal him after just extending him

Depending on the numbers, if the Vikes get OBJ while we stand pat at WR, it's going to be a real bad look for Gute.

Right now, could you blame OBJ if he chooses the Vikes? Better record, they actually look semi-competent across the board, indoor stadium going into the winter.

Chiefs make more sense if he wants to go to the SB. Buffalo's got the same climate woes of Green Bay, but otherwise would be solid

Hey, I'm a super casual fan now but I've had FS1 playing in the background the last couple of days, and Herd is not feeling Matt LaFleur. Is he a good head coach? Sounds like GB has talent on defense.

MLF's very good but they don't have much talent. The defense has talent that would be the envy of the league, but Joe Barry is astoundingly terrible.

Elijah Moore is frustrated with his role in NY. I liked him a lot before the draft and he'd fit the MLF offense of short throws.

That's a guy I'd be very cool with targeting but he doesn't fit the profile as well as a guy like Claypool.

Claypool has another year on his rookie deal. Curious what Pitt is asking for
