What’s the off field stuff?

Alleged sexual harassment of multiple flight attendants on a team flight to London while he was kicking for the Jaguars last season.

Over 50 yards it gets dicier but hopefully shouldn't have to sweat the easier ones anymore

He won't make every kick but something had to be done.

Yep. They gave Narveson multiple chances. We couldn’t go on anymore without a reliable kicker.

1. S Evan Williams, Green Bay Packers
PFF Grade: 91.4

After stepping into a larger role over the past two weeks, Williams is now the NFL's highest-graded safety, though on a smaller sample size than some of his counterparts. This past week, he earned a 93.3 PFF grade, allowing just nine yards in coverage and forcing a fumble.

11. LB Edgerrin Cooper, Green Bay Packers
PFF Grade: 78.2

Setting a career-high in snaps for the second straight week, the second-round draft pick out of Texas A&M had another strong performance in the Packers' win over the Arizona Cardinals. He set a career-high with three defensive stops and earned PFF run-defense and coverage grades above 70.0.

They have been great.
Cooper needs to be on the field the entire game. He's like Quay with a brain. Not only is he smart, he's instinctive and has a burst. Definitely our best LB.

I wasn't familiar with the story so just looked it up. Bad look for sure, but even if what they are saying is true his actions aren't really blackballed from the league bad.

I tend to agree but didn't want to take the conversation down that road.

So what's the deal with Stokes at this point? Only played 16 snaps against Arizona and they had Nixon out there a ton as the other boundary corner, which I'm admittedly not a big fan of even if he did hold up well there (helped that their best receiver got hurt). I guess going with more 3-safety looks means someone is gonna have to take a back seat, but I don't think Nixon is really the guy you want out there that much when he's been the definition of a "meh" coverage guy (59th percentile pass coverage grade, 62.9 overall PFF grade).

Stokes has been worse and is a free agent after this season. Nixon's got two more years on a bit of bargain deal.

I didn’t watch the all 22 personally but heard they played a bunch of zone. So that might be part of it. Along with the 3 safety and Bullard in the slot grouping. Valentine got no snaps on defense too.
Williams, Bullard, and Cooper being on the field make the defense better. They need as many snaps as possible.

Stokes looked pretty good his first year. The accumulated injuries maybe took 3 to 5% off his speed, which at the NFL level is a difference maker

Hopefully McManus is in shape. Assuming he did well during the workout.

Will be nice to know that the stuff under 50 yards will likely go through the crossbars now.

That's the biggest thing. Over 50 is gravy. Under 50 is necessary.

If you have The Athletic, Schneidman has a good article on what's changed on defense. 18 takeaways all last season. 17 in 6 games this season.

Bukowski said the NFL never even spoke to the accusers, just the lawyers I guess and there “wasn’t enough evidence” for conviction. Team plane with all kinds of witnesses and no one saw foul play besides the accusers? Seems weird to me. I never heard this story before now tho, I’m not gonna have an opinion 1 way or another on this one. I took the bait at 1st on the Doubs stuff and that turned out to be insanely far from true so I’ll reserve judgement and wait for more information I guess? Or if it’s swept under the rug and Gutenkist and Lafleur feel comfortable with him then I’ll just ride with that and hope he’s at least better than Narveson..

I will say this kicking carousel we’ve been on is exhausting and annoying to say the least.

Hard to believe that the Packers should have good safety play for a few seasons in a row.

I trust this offense will get McMoney A LOT of sub 50 yarders to cash in

That's how I feel. Ok, his 50 or longer are 50%...so if it's fourth and short between the 35 and 45 then go for it in most situations.

Just need someone who can hit 20-40 yard fgs with no drama... please
