MLF handles the offense. Joe Barry handles the defense. People were leery of Barry from the moment he was hired because his track record was less than stellar.

Barry is catching serious heat right now because despite the Packers using 7 of their last 8 1st round picks on defense (Jordan Love being the exception), they are not performing to their talent level. Most notably, Barry likes to play zone despite the talent in the secondary (specifically Jaire) screaming they should be playing man.

I guess I don't really see the point in bringing in another big, boundary guy like Claypool when guys getting separation on intermediate and deep routes hasn't been the issue at all. Moore makes more sense because as RS said, we need a shifty slot guy with game-breaking speed and he fits that bill.

If they are both on rookie deals...

Moore isn't getting traded.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lazard is a UFA after this season, which would be reason enough for me to bring in Claypool. Gives us some continuity in case he leaves, with a big downfield WR that I am guessing can block reasonbly well.

I agree. Was just saying that Gute seems to have a definite type of WR he likes. Big, fast, and can block. The one time he ventured away from that was Amari and we all know how that's going.

(Cobb too but that was a Rodgers motivated move)

If Gute doesn't get at least 1 of the 2, it's GM malpractice.

Eh, who knows if either is actually available. I'd say if a Moss situation occurs, where one or both are traded for packages Gute should be able to beat, then that's GM malpractice.

Who, or what goes out for either guy?

I'd imagine a 2nd rounder is what it takes to get either but Pit and NY are probably asking for more right now

Would we rather see if an OL, like a guard, is available?

This is not the year to start trading picks the window has closed. Just need to take our medicine this year and next with the cap and start the rebuild. Previous 3 seasons I would have been all in on going for a win now trade mid season.

Tough spot to start a rebuild, not realistic. Even if it was who’s going to be our QB of the future? We’ve committed huge money to Rodgers, don’t see how we could pick up Love’s 5th year option. Love also hasn’t shown anything yet but potential. So do we draft another QB?
