I'm not sure trading for a WR can save this mess right now. Rather keep the draft capital... this team stanks.

I can't think of many ways to make this season even worse, but mortgaging any draft picks for some midseason pickup would definitely be one. Prime Calvin Johnson isn't making this team a SB contender.

Or last season, or the season before that.

Went from a potential Herschel Walker type of deal two years ago, to potentially 2 1sts and 2 2nds this past offseason, to just wishing he would retire.

One of the biggest reasons I would trade for Claypool is if he looks this good with Pickett....he should look better with Rodgers.

But Rodgers sucks this year.

This is a 6 or 7 win team. Rodgers spent his off-season high and playing golf. He's not committed to working these new guys in. He's not leading anyone.

There are cracks everywhere one player is not fixing this team.

He is probably playing with a fracture in his thumb and we probably should have IR him given how awful he looks. Just doesn’t help when he makes a great throw our WR **** it up.

Not only that but 2 of our 3 big additions at wr have barely played. Nothing but a narrative people are refusing to let go for some reason.

I'm referring to his lack of leadership. His demeanor is off.

Amari gets how many chances?? It's not his first muff. Or his second or third..

Team underperforms with talent. In all phases. Ruderless ship.

This isn't getting fixed any time soon.

MLF will get a mulligan. Rodgers might dick around another off-season, love may or may not suck. The rebuild is two years away.

I think two years in this weird limbo 6-8 win teams before they fire everyone and Rodgers leaves (Packers management have a tendency to hold on a year or two longer than necessary). Then a couple years to rebuild, hoping the rebuild is successful with being top 10 in the draft of each round for a couple years to reload....That's my optimistic view. They got a shot about being good in 4 years if the right QB lands in their lap and/or Love hits his prime?

Says a lot that you have to isolate 3 guys in one cherry-picked round of the draft over a 4-year stretch to try and say that a guy has been bad at drafting offense. Cuz obviously MVS and guys like Lazard and Tonyan off the scrap heap conveniently don't count. Who knows how Doubs and Watson pan out, but lest this becomes the new "Gary is a bust" embarrassing narrative, I'll prefer to take the wait and see approach. And of course, the great irony in all of this, is that Gute's worst move as a GM might end up being not trading Rodgers for a king's ransom when he had the chance in the offseason.
