I think Pitt will come to regret this move. Rogers ain't what he used to be and Father Time wins.

Hot take: If Rogers is a middle tier producer and no savior, Tomlin gets squeezed out at the end of the season.

I'm not really expecting much from Rodgers - but with a crappy draft class of QBs,not much in the FA department...I guess maybe let it ride for one year, even knowing that the Steelers may blow it up after this year.

Incredible that he waits months to announce this, and no one cares because **waves hands around everywhere**.

I mean we all knew when the schedule dropped and week 1 was Steelers vs Jets with Packers/Steelers being a SNF game that Rodgers was going there.

I am going to laugh if Jets end up with a better record than Steelers.

I'm guessing the Steeler fan base wants a lot more than a place-holder. If they're 5-5, or thereabouts midway, the weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth will be loud from the fan base.

To be fair, and to your last point, I think they probably do blow it up after the season, regardless of record.

I think Pitt wanted to draft an QB. And might have been part of the deal with Rodgers to wait to sign him until after the draft in case they got their guy.
