If Jaire can't stay healthy this year hes very much looking at the vet min going forward I would imagine. Dude can barely make it through games without coming up lame though.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
Well, I'd have kept him for 6M/one year as his father mentioned.
It's not big money and risk/return can be the difference between a SB win or not, IMO.

It's not $6 million. It's the entirety of what he was owed in his contract, and the Packers weren't going to pay that.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
^^^ My reading between the lines, makes me think the Packer brass have low confidence in Alexander's ongoing availability. The only way he'd be playing in GB was if the contract got redone to protect the team more.
Conversely, Baltimore got him on a team friendly incentives laden deal.
I'm sad he left, and hope he does well in Baltimore, but my bet is he doesn't play many pre-season snaps and his availibility drops as we go farther into the season

That is not really true? He had no guaranteed money left on his deal so the Packers were bound to nothing. Of course they werent ever paying him his full $17 million he was due this year or anything going forward but there was a compromise to be worked out to keep him for this season at least. This from an interview with Jaire's dad is saying he wanted to be here and was willing to take a paycut on his $17 million this year but he wanted some base amount guaranteed and Gute wasn't willing to give him any sort of guaranteed money at all and wanted it in weekly roster bonuses which is some real ego trip from the front office too imo.

There were multiple reports coming out that said he wasn't willing to renegotiate. I don't trust whatever his dad was saying. I'll trust the reporters who ended up being right.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
At the end of the day I think Jaire wanted to move on all along. He knew the Packers weren't going to pay him the $17 million on his contract and he refused to take less.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
I guess if the take on Jaire's dad is to jump to "he's a straight up liar" then I can't argue against that. His comments seemed reasonable to me.

At about 2 minutes into this Jaire's dad said the Packers offer had a $4.3 million base. Also says if the Packers offered the same contract as the Ravens he would be a Packer.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
According to a Medina [Ohio] Municipal Court record that was filed June 6, Sanders was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol earlier this month. In that alleged violation, which took place June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, the Ohio State Patrol told WJW-TV that Sanders was stopped for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Almost hard to believe this moron fell in the draft.

Re: ATL - Jaire to Ravens
in fairness 26 over isnt that obscene for a early 20's person (really anyone here wanna say they didnt push it on a highway when they were young?) and who shows up to court for a speeding ticket if they can just pay the fine?Ryan5UW wrote:ReasonablySober wrote:According to a Medina [Ohio] Municipal Court record that was filed June 6, Sanders was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol earlier this month. Ravens is $4 million base and $2 million incentives. So the Packers offer was $4.3 million base but less than $1.7 million incentives?

Ok, what about going 41 over at 12:30 in the morning?
According to the record, Sanders failed to appear for an arraignment for that citation on Monday and faces $269 in fines and court costs. He was then stopped by an officer for the Strongsville (Ohio) Police Department at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday morning for driving 41 mph over the posted 60 mph speed limit in a black Dodge TRX truck.
Dude's just a spoiled rich-kid dumbass, and it looks like everyone saw this coming....
