Surprised they did it but think it was probably for the best.

Raiders worst team in their division
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So does this open up cap enough to add Will Fuller and JuJu -esque moves?

Yeah, I would have loved a 1st this year and a 1st next year.

I would have loved Waller and a 1st even more, but that is asking for a bit much.

The NFC West is gonna be so fun to watch.

It's hard enough to win when 1 guys is eating up a huge % of your cap. An Adams deal would've been 2 guys making up an even larger %. That's just too hard to do. Factor in Adams injury history, and the team's record when he sits out with said injuries, this is an easy pill to swallow.

I don't think you can win a trade if you trade somebody as good as Adams, but the cap is the cap and 30m is a hell of a lot for a WR. Everything needs a holistic lens in the NFL.

FWIW, maybe this'll force Rodgers to throw to someone else once in a while.

First mock draft I look at to see the Raider's pick at #22 is for Chris Olave. That works.

But but but, it's Aaron Rodgers who is a jerk and kills puppies !!!

It was a smart move for the franchise --- and good riddance Davante.

So for starters, I get it. That's a huge contract, he's oft-injured, and we can't afford to pay everyone we need with that much money tied up in Rodgers and Adams.

I'm surprised Rodgers was on board coming back without Rodgers. TBH I think it kind of lends itself even more to this being more about money and his ego, but I guess we'll see where this lands. And it's neither here nor there at this point - just an observation.

But what now? Market is pretty dried-up at WR now. We certainly won't find a #1 - not that there was one anyways. Is the draft loaded at wideout? I hadn't been following this year.
