WOW. I saw PFF predicted that this morning and I hadn't even considered it.

Cool move.

That's weird. I wonder if this means Jones is gone.

Jones and Jacobs would be a nice rotation at RB.

I don't think they're signing Jacobs to move on from Jones.

I gotta see the $. I don't love paying two backs big $ when we have bigger needs

Here's what PFF said when they predicted it.

20. RB JOSH JACOBS: GREEN BAY PACKERS
A year removed from winning the rushing title in 2022, Jacobs endured an ugly start to the year amid the implosion of the Josh McDaniels era, and his rushing grade finished nearly 10 points below any prior season. He averaged just 3.5 yards per carry in 2023. Fortunately, Jacobs' frequent and effective usage was a focal point of the Antonio Pierce regime. He amassed at least 98 yards from scrimmage in three of those five games before a quad injury ended his season. Jacobs will turn just 26 the month before free agency and should still have plenty left in the tank.

Do I get to take a victory lap for saying I thought they were gonna make a play for a big name RB?

Granted I said Saquan but this still counts right?

Stunned. If he's healthy, he's a dream fit in MLF's offense.

I picked a horrible time to go to the gym. That was out of left field.

Generally not a fan of paying two RB's sizeable money. It just doesn't seem like an intelligent allocation of resources but a Jones/Jacobs pairing is undeniably very fun. Jacobs just turned 26 too so it seems like a reasonable bet we can get a couple more productive years there. One for the "do something fun in free agency" crowd for sure.

Jacobs and Aaron Jones together can be fantastic if used well, and of course if they stay healthy which has been a problem for both. Didn't expect it at all.

This is awesome. Jacobs just turned 26 a month ago, he’s a perfect fit for the team and the offense. Now I’m excited.

Very interesting move. I guess it makes sense as sort of a succession plan, while still being really good now, especially after our interest in JT last year, as Nagler just pointed out on twitter.

Yep, love it. Now get a safety in FA and we are off to an awesome start

If we get a safety in FA we can just have fun with BPA in the draft, I love it

I had a feeling they would..... Just thought it was going to be Saquan if they did. Jacobs is isn't a bad pivot though.

Pretty easily the best RB tandem in the league.

Think this might signal they might plan on investing heavy into IOL early in the draft

Glad we don't have to reach on a RB in the draft now. Wouldn't mind a Day 3 guy but not needing to spend a Day 2 pick there is nice.
