To screw over packers management and the fans he felt betrayed him?

Maybe, but I think my scenario is more likely. Time will tell.

I’d expect two first and two seconds or three firsts. Everybody wins.

Rodgers might secretly still be feeling vindictive about everything, but it's in his best interest to work with the team. He probably thinks depriving them of his greatness is punishment enough.

He also wants to be right, so if he said things got better with the front office throughout the season and he wants to make a decision that's fair to the team, he doesn't want to act in a way that makes him look stupid (I realize how hilarious that sounds but you have to remember he doesn't think anything he has said or done in the last year has looked stupid or hypocritical or contradictory).
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

This essentially allows him to block any trade he doesn't like by threatening to retire. Packers can play hardball and force his hand on this but I don't think anyone wants a huge ugly mess this off-season.

If Rodgers wants to come back to the pack they will let him and if he doesn't I think they'll work with him to get him where he wants to go.

Last off-season was the packs chance to trade him with leverage. This off-season not so much, but that was the trade off for getting him to report to camp this summer.

You really think Rodgers is going to walk away from what $40m and 'retire' in one of his last chances as an elite QB? I dont, but could see him being a dick and threaten to hold out all pre-season
He'd be walking away from $26M in base salary but keeping the 16m in prorated signing bonus that you would typically have to pay back had they not reworked his contact last year.

I don't think Rodgers actually wants to retire but if he doesn't get his way it wouldn't shock me if he did. And no team is trading anything of value for him unless they know he's going to show up.

Both sides have some leverage here but I do believe Aaron will ultimately get to play where he wants next year.

Kind of sinking in now. What a disappointing end to an era that could've been so much more.

And to have the best talent go full Anakin is extra disappointing.

They should bring in a Bridgewater-tier guy (I would ask what the Eagles want for Minshew) to at least give Love some competition.

I could see this happening. He was MLF’s QB with the Titans in 2018. He wasn’t awful.
He’d be cheap too.

I think he's offered the job but if yes offered another OC job where he calls the plays he may take it. It will be interesting to see if Hackett will call plays or have his OC do so

**** Hackett isn’t it kind of unwritten rule not to decimate the staff you just came from. Steno is a Wisconsin guy hopefully he stays.

Don’t think it means he’s definitely gone, but I think it does mean it’s either going to be Packers or Broncos.

As crazy as it sounds at this point I’m more worried about losing Steno than Rodgers.

I think IF it's true that Rodgers and Adams plan to team up in Denver you should be able to get them to overpay.

If we play hardball I think at least 2 firsts, a 2nd, and one of their young players (Jeudy, Fant, Javonte, Surtain) should do it.

I get that rb isn't a need but Jones will be a cap casualty once Rodgers is gone and Javonte with Dillon would make it much easier on Love.
