Sigh... was really looking forward to seeing Burks healthy this year.

It's never good to lose a guy to an injury but let's be real. If you absolutely had to pick a starter on either side of the ball to go down for the year it wouldve been him

They'll probably make a move, so Mason Foster? A trade for an ILB?

Gee, would have been nice spending 3m on Zach Brown, 3rd year in row... could have grabbed him, a borderline pro bowler on a good deal....

Zach Brown sounds nice in theory but I don't blame them for not going out and getting him or any other LB. They clearly really like Burks and want to develop him, so there probably wasn't a point in bringing in someone else when there's only a certain number of snaps to go around as is and they play a lot of 5 DB nickle. I don't think anybody could have foreseen he would get injured again.

DE - Lowry, Adams
DT - Clark
OLB - P. Smith, Z Smith
ILB - Martinez
CB - King, Alexander, Williams
S - Savage, Amos

Does Jones get shipped off, or has his value dropped off the table?

His value has dropped. hasn't done well in camp yet. I think they keep him around since burks got hurt, might try to get him reps at LB now and see what he can do there.

I'd like to keep him. Long season, we need depth. And I don't think he'd net much in return.

Really hoping our WR core steps up this year. Still young with a lot of potential.

You think they are keeping 7 wr? I thought it would be only 6. I think Davis is kept over Lazard because of his return ability. He was also having a good camp on offense. I like Sheppard. He seems like a natural slot receiver.

Will they only keep 3 TEs? If so Lewis or Tonyan is gone.

Yeah I don't think theres any chance they keep more than 6 WR. LaFluer's offense is very different than McCarthy. You aren't going to see as much 4 WR spread stuff. A lot more 2 TE, 2 RB looks and only 2 or 3 WR majority of the time. I agree on your first 5. Really tough call between Davis, Shepperd, Lazard and Moore. If any of them can be kept on the practice squad that would be nice.

I think 6 WR's and 4 TE's make sense in LaFleur's offense. Tonyan has moved up to your #2 TE right now and you need to keep Lewis for his blocking ability.

It wouldn't shock me if Graham got cut. I just don't think he has much left in the tank. If he does make the team then I'd be surprised if lewis does too, I doubt they keep 4 TEs and a FB.

I think they keep all 4 TE, but if anybody is first man out I’m guessing it’s Lewis. Tonyan is comfortably in the TE2 position and Sternberger is a rookie. All reports are that Graham is having a solid camp too. Vitale is obviously making the team and I think they keep three RB’s (you know which ones). WR’s are such a toss up right now but I think we’re keeping Adams, Geronimo, MVS, ESB, Kumero, and one of Davis/Shepherd. I still think Moore is a wild card. He can’t catch the damn ball, but he’s always open and seems to get good separation.

Good article on Tonyan.

Good article on Lafleur and Rodgers.

Think Tonyan is the designated hype guy for me this pre-season. Seems like he could be the #1 TE sooner rather than later.

So it looks like no surgery for Burks? It'll heal on its own but DTD designation.

Graham has no future with this team beyond this year - similar situation as Mike Daniels. I could see them parting ways now.

Robert Tonyan has an ultimate college highlight reel. It contains an insane number of one handed grabs.

Bob Tonyan Season has commenced! I'm on the hype train. He reminds me so much of his workout buddy Kittle.
