Because of so many trades using picks as collateral?

Yup. Minny fans will spin it as their GM finding hidden gems, but it's really just that they need the UDFAs to fill spots that would normally go to Day 3 picks. That, and they had to cut so many of their own draft picks because he is awful at the draft. Addison is his only good pick so far.

Thielen has actually been pretty damn good despite turning 35 this month. Vikings are gonna be loaded with receiving weapons once Addison comes back. Too bad they won't have a QB that can get them the ball 8-)

I'm perfectly ok with the Vikings giving up a 4th round pick for a 35 year old WR. Reminds me of the Bears giving up a 4th for Keenan Allen last year

Yeah, I'm surprised the Panthers agreed to this. He had three 99+ yard games down the stretch, including one against Philly in a close loss. Missed half the season and now he's even older, so they might just be grabbing assets for a young team in case he falls off a cliff.

Sounds like it does not include a no tag clause.

I've been in survivor pools for many years. I'm sure some of you have as well. They're fun. A friend of mine entered the Circa Survivor contest in Vegas this year. $1,000 entry. One winner (usually). If more than one survive all the way through the money is split. If all remaining players are eliminated the same week, the money is split. Otherwise just one winner. There are currently about 15,000 entrants so $15 million to the winner.

Survivor contests usually use Thursday-Monday for the lineup of games. Circa does too with 2 big exceptions. Thanksgiving/Black Friday (4 games) is a separate week. So is Xmas (3 games). The Thanksgiving one pretty much means you have to save Philly for that week (vs. Bears). The other games (Packers/Lions, Chiefs/Cowboys, Ravens/Bengals) are tougher. Chiefs would be tempting but Dallas has won the last 3 on Thanksgiving so who knows.

Some people scoff at saving teams, you just need to survive week to week. And that's fine if there are several payouts. But if it's winner take all you have to think long term. Xmas has 3 tough games too, especially late in the season after injuries have come into play.

I'm taking Denver in week one. Some are taking the Bengals over the Browns. Bengals are 1-11 the first 2 weeks the past 2 seasons.

Last year the Patriots beat the Bengals in week 1 and knocked a lot out. And the Raiders beat the Raven in Baltimore in week 2, so it was thinned big time.

I'm in both a winner and loser pool. The loser this week was easy for me as I'm taking Dallas. I can't imagine they win in Philly. The winner was tougher but ultimately I took Arizona, I think the Saints will be absolutely dreadful this year so I might just keep picking between whoever plays them and whoever plays the Browns
