From what’s available, Landry or JuJu seem like the best options.

It's one thing to use him as a decoy when Adams is playing opposite, it's another to have such a limited player without Adams playing opposite.
The reason people were saying that is because he was making some absolutely routine catches that normal WR make that weren't just deep balls. And it was like a handful of catches most guys would make.
Byron Pringle just signed a 1 year 6M deal, it would seem that is the same tier as MVS.
I guess I think that's a VERY low bar for "turning the corner then." The production wasn't there.
I concur.

Same. Trade for Woods, sign a vet WR like JuJu and draft Olave or another 1st round receiver. Maybe nab Hooper to play TE.

I have always liked Woods, but not sure how much I like a 30 year old coming off an ACL tear. Considering we'd need to trade with the Rams for him, he'd need to be quite cheap for me to want to bite.

Jared Cook is out there, cheap too. Can still get up field and catch the ball, unlike any healthy tight ends we have.
Sign him and MVS, draft a couple receivers early.

Yeah, very true. I think the highest I'd consider is a 3rd but even that seems a bit rich. I can't imagine his value will be too high, but then again, a team might swoop in and overpay.

I can't see the Rams trading Woods to us.
Unlike last year Rodgers will be at all mini camps and OTA's, which will be necessary with the turnover at WR. He also needs to work out on his own with some of the new guys we sign/draft.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Packers 2022 Offseason Thread - Adams Traded to Raiders for 2022 1st and 2nd Rd Picks
From Barnwell's article on Raiders and WR
2005: Trade for Randy Moss. The Raiders sent the seventh overall pick and linebacker Napoleon Harris to the Vikings for Moss, who had worn out his welcome in Minnesota. He went from averaging just under 84 receiving yards per game with the Vikings to 53.7 yards per game in Oakland. After two years, the Raiders shipped him to the Patriots for a fourth-round pick, and Moss promptly racked up 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2007.
2008: Sign Javon Walker to a five-year, $55 million deal. Walker caught 15 passes for 196 yards in his first season with the Raiders, played three catchless games the following year and never suited up again.
2009: Use No. 7 pick on Darrius Heyward-Bey. DHB topped 400 receiving yards just once as a pro, and he was cut after four seasons.
2015: Use No. 4 pick on Amari Cooper. The best decision the team has made at wide receiver, Cooper has two of the four 1,000-yard seasons the Raiders have witnessed from a wideout over the past 20 years. Unfortunately, they dealt him to the Cowboys for a first-round pick as part of that Gruden rebuild and then used that pick on Johnathan Abram, who has only begun to show signs of promise in his third pro season as a box safety. Cooper and Michael Crabtree, who was signed after tearing his Achilles, formed the best duo the Raiders have had since Brown and Rice.
2018: Sign Jordy Nelson to a two-year, $14 million deal. While the Nelson move was regarded as a coup at the time, the former Packers star averaged just 49.3 receiving yards per game in Oakland. He was cut after one season and retired.
2019: Sign Tyrell Williams to a four-year, $44 million pact. A Chargers speedster, Williams was supposed to create a vertical passing attack for Gruden. Instead, he battled injuries and generated just 651 receiving yards over two seasons before being released.
2019: Trade for Antonio Brown. I can't fault the Raiders for their decision to send two draft picks to the Steelers for one of the league's top wideouts, but you know how this one turned out.
2020: Use No. 11 pick on Henry Ruggs III. The Raiders obviously couldn't have known what would happen with Ruggs, but his NFL career is over after a little more than one season.

Re: Packers 2022 Offseason Thread - Adams Traded to Raiders for 2022 1st and 2nd Rd Picks
I was ok with the deal from the jump. I will dearly miss him as he was a bit of a uniquely great WR. I don't think I've ever seen someone with such a good break off the line.
On the spin zone side, Rodgers has been quite good without him and this may open up his detrimental Adams tunnel vision, which is the cause of a lot of downfalls.
Need to make smart moves to replace though. I'd be intrigued by Juju in a bounce back year and Landry would be a safe option. The draft will be interesting too. I love Jameson Williams, but im not sure I love waiting for him to come back. Maybe we take him and another option with two of first 4 picks.
On the other side, I don't think this will be a case like Jennings or Walker. Adams has proven to be pretty QB proof in the past and he already has a good connection with Carr.

The point is how do you let the relationship get "frayed" or "fractured" with a human/football player like Davante Adams?
While were at it, how do you miscalculate the amount Aaron Rodgers has left in the tank when you watch him play more football than any other "football people" on the planet?
And just for fun, how do you have a 225lb long snapper?
I mean embarrassing isn't even the right word. That all said, we STILL have a chance at a Super Bowl despite currently having the worst WR/TE group in the league BECAUSE we STILL have Aaron Rodgers on the roster. And no, its not all bad. Our defense is rock f***ing solid in large part to Gutey, but the Davante/Rodgers strained relationship stuff was easily preventable.

Ego from all sides. It's just part of business but not surprised it's come down to egos from all parties.

I’m just saying, we got the better end of the deal here. And if Adams gets hurt it is by a wide margin.
With that said it was cool to see everyone get what they wanted well except for JTK. But in a small way he got what he wanted too, because he can turn this win and pretend it is a loss and complain about Gute. The irony being the years he spent complaining about Bucks fans bashing Kidd and the management. Strange times indeed

Initial reports were that we were getting a player in addition to picks. I guess not?
