Jets pretty much have to release Adams. He's a dead cap of $11.2 million but if they keep him his cap hit next season is $38.3 million. There are already 2 void years on his deal, in '27 and '28. And no one is going to trade for him and extend him to reduce the $38.3 million. He'll be released. I don't think we'd be the only team interested in him but we'll be in the mix.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

ESPN all-rookie team

Edgerrin Cooper, Green Bay Packers

What a revelation Cooper was down the stretch. In the first six weeks, he saw the field mostly as a sub-package passing-downs player. He started to flash midseason as an early-down option before losing a few games to a hamstring injury. In the final four weeks of the season, he led all linebackers in run stops (tackles that are negative EPA for the offense) and was one of only two linebackers to total at least eight stuffs (tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage).

Cooper took 100% of the snaps in a game for the first time this season in the Packers' wild-card loss to the Eagles. He was once again extremely productive near the line of scrimmage while still taking away routes in zone coverage. This is perhaps the biggest transformation of a rookie on either side of the ball this season. The arrow is pointed way up.

Evans too.

Evan Williams, Green Bay Packers
2024 stats: 47 tackles, 3 pass breakups, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble
Drafted: Round 4, No. 111

Williams largely slipped under the radar as fellow rookie safety Javon Bullard was drafted two rounds ahead of him, but he was an immediate boost once he got his hands on a starting gig. A quick-footed box safety with a good nose for misdirection, Williams proved to be an extremely sure tackler in space with quality stopping power and enough coverage chops to be trusted alone in man coverage. Impact safeties either dominate in the deep middle or make plays at or near the line of scrimmage; Williams checked the latter box.

Gary was definitely better at keeping the edge, he was noticeably bad that in previous years and I can't really recall any where he got caught out of position.

LVN is big enough, I wonder if we just tried to move him inside more since he clearly doesn't have any technique.

As unsettling as it is having various members of the Packer brass being interviewed for jobs elsewhere, that also shows they're doing some things right. Two of the FO personnel guys, Stenovich, and now Hafely have all been requested.

However, three? years ago, Biasaccia was a hot prospect too. The bloom seems to have come off that rose.

Kenny Clark had a really so-so year, according to PFF ratings.

What is his future? I don't expect he gets moved or cut, but does some other player(s) start getting more of his snaps?

If it happens just make Saleh the DC. If we are going to lose him this is the year to do it.

Figured Hafley was going to pursue a HC gig eventually, but I assumed we'd have him for at least another season or two.

If we lose him, Saleh is the obvious replacement...unless he ends up getting hired before we get a chance to bring him in.

It would be incredibly annoying to lose Haf after one season. He's going to interview so well too.

Saleh would be a fine fill in and he already runs the same scheme, so the transition wouldn't be too rough.

Saleh is interviewing in Dallas for their HC position. He might not be an option by the time Hafley leaves.

Salah also i think went for SF DC again. Lots of spots for him to roam.

Entire D-line took a step back this year so not surprised they moved quickly to find a replacement. Kind of want them to go heavy edge/DL in the draft and rebuild that part of the team.
