I bet Daboll to Lions as OC. Campbell got his first coaching job under Daboll with Miami in 2011.

I bet Jimmy Haslam is chomping at the bit to grab Harbaugh. This is his Doc Rivers 2.0

I agree to extent. Just saying i haven't seen a whole lot that make me say he's an "elite" coordinator. Good yes. But I guess im not seeing how hes been elite as last years D was a top unit largely based off TOs (which i agree are high variance)

I don't want this to come off seeming as me bashing Hafley as I think hes a good coordinator. I dont want him to leave. I think hes good at what he does. Im just having trouble seeing how a defensive coordinator (who hasnt proven to be an elite coordinator) is generating so much buzz

Could be that he is an excellent leader, kind of the most important part of being a head coach.

I also don't want this to come off as bashing Hafley, I am good with him as a DC. But his record at Boston College was 22-25:

Year-by-Year Breakdown:
2020: 6-5
2021: 6-6
2022: 3-9
2023: 7-6

If I am looking for a head coach there is no way I am considering Hafley this year UNLESS this Packer defense just comes out and stomps everyone in the postseason. Hafley is not ready for a HC job imo but I could be wrong.

Also, if we lose him there are a lot of capable candidates out there.

I also don’t want to come off as a fan boy, but I think he left college because of recruiting and NIL stuff. I was more talking about hearing him talk, how he interacts with the players, his messaging. I think there are all the makings of a great coach but who knows if he needs a few more years of seasoning before he is ready.

He's guaranteed to get a HC job elsewhere. Hell, I'd take him.

A change might rejuvenate him but what if Harbaugh is just done as a good coach?

Leonhard, Al Harris, Schwartz, Morris would be my top candidates. I wonder if we lose this week and Hafley is gone (I doubt it) which of those coaches take the job knowing Lafleur is probably one below average season from being fired.

What qualifies Al Harris as a top coordinator candidate?

Leonard is interesting. When he was DC in Madison there was talk that he was a top candidate for a college HC job or NFL DC job and here we are a few years later and that hasn't happened. This Nico guy is the first guy I've seen mention Leonard.

Tomlin could still be fired I guess but it's weird that if Loop makes that FG Tomlin is fired and Harbaugh is still coaching for the Ravens next year included.

He'd be the guy I want if MLF get's booted next Monday. Obviously we'd have to lose to the Bears and I doubt that happens.

Harbaugh was tied to Lamar, win or lose. The defense also collapsed on Sunday, but only after Kyle Hamilton got hurt. He was there Micah, key to the whole D.
