Well, first of all, not assume he's in near perfect condition, because he might not be. A lot of pro athletes never stretch.

Chris Berman?

Nope, Berman is older, has more hair than me, and is a fatty. Since LB Elijah Joseph's nickname is "Peanut" it seems that DT Elisha Joseph is simply known as Eli...I'm hoping he makes in impact because if you line him up next to Neal the two of them should be able to get a hell of a push.

By the time Eli Joseph finished his handiwork by logging 43 reps of 225 pounds, the NFL scouts a few feet away had one question dancing in their heads:

Who is this guy? Player personnel executives flocked to Temple’s Pro Day last Friday to take a closer look at first-round defensive line prospect Muhammad Wilkerson. They received an unexpected show from Joseph, who played in Wilkerson’s shadow for the better part of the season as the nose tackle in Temple’s revamped 3-4 scheme. The anonymity, frankly, suited the 6-2, 290-pound Joseph just fine.

Joseph took advantage of the Pro Day platform with an eye-opening bench press performance, solid 40-yard dash times (4.94 and 5.00) and vertical (28 inches).

I find it hard to believe a football player doesn't stretch. If they aren't stretching the strength/conditioning coaches, trainers, team doctors need to be fired.

Ever since I tore a hammy when I was young I've always hated stretching, and I've always prefered cool down stretches to warm ups.

Have to retract my "that's just not true." You asked your doctor if there was anything you could do to MAKE SURE that you wouldn't do it again, and he said there wasn't. That is true. Nothing you can do will eliminate the possibility of another injury. But there are things that help.

I'm in no position to say what he is or isn't doing. All I'm saying is that there are things you can do that make it less likely you'll injure your meniscus. His muscles could be out of balance. How much control do you think the trainers have over what these guys do or don't do? It's ultimately up to the player.

What injuries has Finley even had anyway? He tore his meniscus last year (fluke injury). In 2009 he missed 3 games with a bruised knee (took a helmet directly to his knee while getting tackled). Was he hurt his rookie year?

Worriers gonna worry.

I think he'll probably be fine. The injuries he's had aren't the type that cause chronic problems usually, unless he's biologically predisposed, which who knows.

I think it would make sense to be more worried about Matthews again having hammy issues. You could say the same thing about Wood and his chronic turf toe.

Or Neal having shoulder issues. I agree.

In another drill, where multiple quarterbacks throw to different receivers, two quarterbacks accidentally both threw to Finley. He caught one ball, tucked it in and caught the other.

Fap.

I hope MM made him run it until he caught both in bounds.

Just saw a stat I had seen before but forgot, with Rodgers quarterbacking, we've either won outright or lost by a TD or less 29 straight games (including playoffs). With an improved O and hopefully similar D to 2010, makes you feel good heading into next season. We really usually either blow a team out or are in a dogfight, and in dogfights it quite often comes down to the QB matchup.

Nice.

Common misconception is good teams don't lose close games. In actuality, good teams don't get blown out and only lose close games. Good to see this is represented.

On the Mike Heller show they just had a Packer reporter on and the guy said the two most impressive players so far have been DJ Williams and former Gopher Jon Hoese. :D

Aaron Nagler

Tramon Williams and Nick Collins both just gave James Jones a big hug.
