So it seems Fickell is putting 100% of the responsibility for the offense failing last year on Phil Longo. It doesnt appear that there are any other coaching changes coming on offense(besides adding a QB coach).

I think Blazek and Guiton are good coaches and recruit well. Jury is out on Letton and Spalding who have landed recruits, but haven’t really turned anything around on the field.

I’d leave them too, if just for continuity and recruiting.

Malachi Nelson is in the portal (again). Doubt the Badgers hold much, if any, interest. But he'll be one of the hotter names out there.

You all will be happy to know that Buckyville is still a cesspool.

Most are amazed that fickell couldn’t snap his fingers and do a programmatic 180 when the the only above replacement level players he inherited were Allen, Njongmeta, and Wohler (maybe Bortolini, who played poorly). Mid level NFL backup types. Literally no QB. The rest of the team in shambles. Still, apparently the expectation was 10 wins or something.

No one can hold these two thoughts simultaneously: 1. Fickell was left a complete mess and 2. Fickell hasn’t done a good job with that mess.

Just a nightmare place to visit.

But it does aggregate tweets for me. So I’m back for portal season.

O'Neal was one of those freshman starting QBs I mentioned in the locked thread. He had a nice season for the Aztecs. Sounds like his thing is wanting to be closer to home so his family can drive to see him play. Indianapolis is only a five hour drive.
